New Books, 100% for charity by Othello

Since both Grace and Chris Brown tend to be modest about their part in philanthropic work, I thought I would take a minute and share the benefit book project that they have been heading up since last year.

The publishing division of Chris’ Corner has to date published three paperback books of Grace X stories, and the profits from all of them are donated to abuse shelters for women and children. It’s been a unique and satisfying way to enjoy our dark fetish lives through literary fiction, and at the same time help people who are hurting in the real world. In addition to Grace and Chris, some of the finest writers of “erotica noir” fiction (most of whom are members here) have donated stories to the effort, raising the bar of literary quality to a remarkable level. So it has been a true community effort. Here’s a list of the good people whose written works appear in the books:

Chris Brown, Nighthawk, Stormcaster, Eyes, Moon Shiner, Jessika, Fleming, Mike Dark, Ric delCampo, Othello, Killmaster, Farside, egeek, and Grace X.

I want to thank all of you for your generosity, good hearts, and inspiring creativity (not to mention your tremendous writing talent).

Rest assured, no one from the community, including Grace, Chris, or myself, ever sees purchaser information from the sale of these books. All sales information is completely private, handled by Lulu, a worldwide printer and distributor of books. By arranging things this way, your privacy is completely protected if you are interested in supporting the effort by acquiring copies for yourself (And they are hot, exciting books! My copies are proudly displayed on my bookshelf).

As for the financial side of the benefit, it is not just a part of sales that is sent to a shelter for abused women and children, every penny of the book profits are donated. It is a true volunteer effort from Chris, Grace and the writers (and a fourth book in the series is being prepared for release later this year).

So a big round of applause to everyone involved. I’m honored and inspired to work with you all.
