Sexiest murders in mainstream movies?

Post by Rusk is my hero »

I’ve just watched the 1932 version of Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde with Frederic March and Miriam Hopkins. Lovely hooker Hopkins is bumped off by March and overall the film just oozes sex. It made me wonder what the 10 sexiest murders in mainstream films were. Below are my (possibly limited) top ten.

What are yours?

1. Barbara Leigh-Hunt strangled with a necktie by Barry Foster in Frenzy.
2. Dale Kalberg (the nurse) strangled with a stocking by Nicholas Worth in Don’t Answer The Phone.
3. P. J. Soles strangled with a phone cord by Tony Moran in Halloween.
4. Katie Saylor strangled with her dress belt by Bruce Watson in Swinging Barmaids. (Very short murder but the build up is good.)
5. Diane Sayer strangled with a stocking by Victor Buono in The Strangler
6. Gail Jensen hand strangled by Nicholas Worth in Don’t Answer The Phone.
7. Dyanne Thorne stabbed by Bruce Watson in Swinging Barmaids. (Long struggle and much tearing of clothes before the final.)
8. Miriam Hopkins as above. (Actual killing not shown but dialogue and acting just before is superb.)
9. Nadia Pavlova hand strangled by Arthur Kennedy in Murder She Said. (First time I saw a hint of tongue in a strangulation.)
10. April Bogenschutz strangled with a lamp flex by Ted Prior (?) in Raw Justice, aka Good Cop Bad Cop. (She was nice and clean too, just having had a shower…)

Your mention of "Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde" (1932) prompted me to revisit
this outstanding horror classic, that in my opinion still is the most powerful
screen adaptation of Stevenson's novella. It also reminded me of an
unfortunate aspect of the film which, because it is off-topic, is illustrated
in this post in the All-Topics Forum:

you either like the oldies or hate them, I really do not like the music and overacting, but some of the killings were good, if they could just be updated would be swell

What is your main fetish?: It's a combination of secret agents, superheroines, celebs, and pregnant women being killed. Although i don't necessarily have to talk about the last one on the boards if it's too sensitive of an issue.
Why do you want to join this forum?: Looks like a fun place to chat
Referral: I've known about Blue's stuff for several years, but I only just came across the forums looking for stuff about Raven Alexis (one of my favorite stars in both mainstream and erotic death fetish porn).

Twitch of the Death Nerve, ( aka Bay of Blood)
Towards the end of this slasher flick we are treated to Anna Maria Rossi, who has been teasing us all the way in a tight white sweater, midi skirt open up to there, and white boots..
The attachment 2012-10-23_202210.jpg is no longer available
getting hers at the hands of one of the other bay residents
The scene is great and she shows leg and body during the scene....

Apparently Buckets of blood was Ok, but a peak at Anna Maria's hot pants and midriff was too much

It's a tough call, and my favorites are constantly shuffling around, but here are a few off the top of my head:

1. Barbara Leigh-Hunt's strangulation in "Frenzy" (I'm in complete agreement with you here.)
2. Sally Kirkland's suffocation in "Paint It Black."
3. Claude Dantes' drowning in "Blood and Black Lace."
4. Colleen Dewhurst's shooting in "McQ."
5. April Olrich stabbed in the back in "The Skull."
6. Catherine McCormack's throat-slitting in "Braveheart" (it's just the look on her face as she slowly fades away).
7. Lisa Langlois' drowning in "Phobia."
8. Sally Kirkland's neck-snap in "Double Exposure."
9. P.J. Soles' strangulation in "Halloween."
10. Louise Fletcher's heart attack in "Brainstorm" (I know this is a particularly offbeat choice, being a death-by-natural-causes scene, but the intensity of her acting and her death stare are really effective.)
