Basically the book is about an island riddled with monsters that dwell in the ground called Azologoth and they love to eat people. Inside these monsters is a really valuable element called Neon-Dark. The element is extracted by teams of women who work for different companies, how ever when they cross each others paths they fight over the monsters......kind of like fighting over a rich guy lol. They are fierce obedient and fear nothing.
So inter company chaos ensues
