What is your main fetish?: Strangulation murders that ultimately grant open sexual access to desirable females whom would otherwise remain unattainable. Brutally using said women until neither their defiled corpses nor the killer's sexual stamina can withstand another assault. Disposing of the once lovely victims in a cruel manner wherein their bodies are never again found. A shallow graves, tub of acid...

Better than any Erotic-horror neckbreak

While I'm mainly a strangulation fan, I could always enjoy a nice post-mortem snap to abuse a strangled corpse. That being said, neck breaks in erotic-horror have always been severely lacking in intensity and realism.

However, I have recently discovered a master snapper that will now show you producers how it is done.

At least we now know how the neck snap should sound. I love how the final girl squeeks.

Those are interesting, but are just not the same as a bone breaking. The sound is dissolved gasses rapidly expanding and while they sound good, they are muted compared to an actual bone snapping.

I have many production aiff's of bones breaking. And another one I have I actually made years ago, when I stomped on a animal femur I found while visiting my uncles farm. I am pretty sure it was a deer.

Needless to say, the snap of the bone gives a nice "crack" with some splintering that I cannot get from bone adjustment sounds.

But, it was an interesting and slightly cringeworthy video. :-)

I will admit though, in many videos I have watched over the years--especially mainstream movies, the choices made for certain sound effects leave me wondering, "what were they thinking?"

Thanks,
JohnM

I fully agree with you John!

I definitely prefer the bone breaking sounds personally, and love to layer and pan them to the right areas and camera angles so they match up. I like realistic sounds, but love to amplify them. I have also made a bunch of sound f/x myself and will release a producer's pack early 2016 that will have all kinds of great sounds and Foley.
