I have always appreciated your continuing defense of our community producers. You should continue to have stolen material taken down. With respect to KHP specifically, Paul entrusted me with ensuring that his material was not pirated, because he knew that I was staying in the community and that I could be trusted with this task. I therefore have his express authority to have any KHP material removed from anywhere it is posted. I hereby formally deputize Dennis to carry out this task on my behalf and that of KHP. That should settle the issue. If the owner of a copyright doesn't want his material posted anywhere, that should be good enough, and clear enough, for everyone!

Sorry to "ruffle your feathers", Dennis. I was merely providing comments regarding some members expecting to take advantage of KHP. I am very pleased that you and Bluestone are active watchdogs vs pirates and advantage seeking community lurkers. My comment regarding observations is one to challenge members to assist whenever they should see a "pirate in action". More eyes are better.

Not at all said or you would have stated it in your post.

Since you have a lot of time to post all sorts of cryptic remarks on the message boards, you know the following 'Terms of Service' below:

Not withstanding Copyright Ownership, I assert a 'The Terms of Service' violation to have videos deleted as you and anyone can easily do to have the producers videos deleted:

1) The storage of our community producer videos or similar videos are in violation of the Terms of Service of virtually every download server on the planet under 'Content' or similar where it defines our material and is prohibited on their server.

2) The Terms of Service of Dark Fetish Network clearly states when you post a video:
"Be aware that uploading videos made by our community's independent producers is strictly forbidden. Doing so, may result in account suspension! "

PennPaul, how many other producers have you helped in reducing their losses and or preserve their property rights in having their pirated videos deleted?

KHP provided a video I saved as 'freebie', of Kamryn, or Camryn (sorry I forget the name) being arrowed outdoors on a porch while sipping a glass of wine. Since this was provided to the public 'free' then, is it permissible to repost that clip elsewhere?

I ask because I have done that at a DS thread, and will certainly remove it immediately (if I can 'edit' the thread) if need be.

You know that I have personally alerted you more than once, and Blue, and Ruemorgue and BigJohn and I believe some others over the years whenever I have found what I thought was a 'pirated' video or clip or even moments from a clip combined into someone's personal compilation.

So I surely do not want to be doing 'wrong', but felt that 'freebie' was part of the public domain.

Need I take down the link over at DS?

Thanks very much from a rookie here to JohnM and Dennis and 4P and Blue and all of you for this discussion. I find it very interesting and admit to not knowing copyright Law.

I only wanted to add that it seems to me that, assuming Paul's 'conversion' is real, to his very strict religious beliefs that demand he have no association with 'our' type of material, that his 'reason' for not wanting anything shown anywhere is that it offends HIM now and his current beliefs.

So if the Law says what JohnM says it does (and I'm not doubting that...lol!), then Paul owns the rights to any distribution, it seems to me, Smudger, until or unless he does that 'disown and allow to revert to public domain' thing.

If that's the case, whether we believe what Paul believes or not about this material, we both legally and morally need to support his right to have nothing shown without his permission.

Just an observation here, maybe off-base. But I do appreciate the details from all of you because they are very educational to one who is a rookie in such things.

Yes, it is okay with the KHP video you mentioned as there were many promo videos and free. Plus you asked me for my okay when you did post it a while back before it was deleted on DS. I can speak in great measure for KHP produced videos since I own the copyrights to many of them. I am not sure about other producers' promo videos but probably okay as long as they get credit but it is always better to ask the producer.

All KHP Videos are not permitted to be posted on DS or even Paul's name mentioned. Paul KHP and his material were banned from DS years ago. However, I can't speak for Geno's current policy.

Since I paid for much of his productions, and I own many of his videos. Since I have ownership I will show them. My position is the ones still owned by Paul KHP is still owned by him until he states otherwise. If the videos he owns are not be shown, they are not to be shown. He may be religious in the extreme but he has a heavy history of being litigious and spent much time in the courts protecting his interests. I don't recall him loosing a case, he always used excellent attorneys and he always had slam dunk case to begin with... like with copyright ownership issues.

The other producers can post what they feel the legal status is of the videos not owned by me.

Just to let everyone know, Paul of KHP got back to me and confirmed that he didn't authorize the site in question, but that it appears to have been inactive since 2009. He is appreciative that we are keeping an eye out for pirate sites.

He is doing well on his new path, and will not be returning to our community.

Thanks, Dennis. Of course what you say makes sense regarding which you would or could show and which you will not show.

Probably the only reason the 'freebie' remains up 'there' now (the clip), if indeed it does, is because it's posted at the Story Forum certain people rarely visit...lol. But I had forgotten or was unaware of the strict 'policy' there against KHP videos.
