Forum Ban

As many of you may have known, this forum has become a target for spammers.

Nearly all are from Russia. There have been quite literally hundreds of them storming the gates of the Bluestone Mansion, but the defenders have stood firm and not one single item of their rubbish has appeared on our forum.

As part of the defences, some ranges of IP addresses were banned to try to minimise the tide.

Unfortunately, this resulted in a few established members being barred because they were signing in from an IP address that fell within those ranges.

I can now confirm that the IP address ban has been removed, so anyone who was affected by it should now be able to sign in freely.

Normal service has been resumed and my sincere apologies to those members who were for a few hours denied access to the delights contained in the Mansion!

I would just add that as a result of these spammers thousands of individual IP addresses are banned. With the modern systems most peoples' IP address is not constant but can vary each time you contact your service provider. There is therefore a very small possibility that you may get allocated a banned IP address.... but it is truly tiny.
