New 3D Art: "Student's Revenge" (Hanging)

Workflow: DAZ Studio, Iray, GIMP

When I was using Poser a few years ago, someone tipped me off to a shader pack that used Poser's procedural shaders to simulate the effect of hosiery using V4's skin materials. I've yet to see anyone produce a similar product for DAZ Studio, so I decided to try creating my own method. I don't think they're necessary to start with, but I used IG Iray Essentials - Genesis 3 Female & Victoria 7 as a foundation.

I have a thing for women in White Silk stockings, so after applying the Iray Essentials to V7, I edited the Surfaces of her Legs to change their Translucency color to White. To complete the effect and give her Legs a silk-like opacity, I lowered their Translucency Weight to .15.

I liked the result so much that I decided to show it off with one of my favorite fantasy asphyxia scenarios: a bathroom hanging. Unfortunately, the effect only works with closed-toe shoes, due to the lack of a toe cover.

The Story

Mrs. Greenfeld flunked one of her more unsavory students for the last time. After school ended one afternoon, he followed her into the bathroom and waited. As she was finishing up in one of the stalls - her back facing the door - he lassoed her from the other side with a thin piece of rope, yanked her back against the door, and lifted. He then tied his end off on a support beam above the door, and knelt down to watch her feet kick as she struggled to breath. Seconds later, she was dead, and a sly grin crossed his face. Satisfied, he left her body to be found by the Janitor.

That's some great 3D work -- if you hadn't said it was a render, I would've thought it was a real picture.

I really like this one. Even without the story the simplicity speaks volumes. But the story is interesting too and my mind conjures up about 20 different expressions the janitor might have had upon his beautiful discovery. By the way by simplicity I am referring to the subtle view, not in the effort of creating it.
