Over time I always had this thought or question in my head about asking the producers.
Since I am at my keyboard and have this thought again, I think I will ask my curious and hopefully
not too dumb of a question.
I always wondered why the producers who make plenty of your blood themed (shooting or stabbing)
as well as breathless themed (choke, hang or drown) videos... since they do plenty of both, I thought
it maybe easier for them when shooting a video title why not shoot it both ways, blood version and a
breathless version?
I know over the years this has been done with a handful of titles, and they would make both versions
available in one title.
But what I am asking is... more often (also I am not saying all the time) why don't producers make a
breathless and a blood version of any giving title?
I'm also asking or I am thinking is it easier for a producer get a good story and modify them a little bit
each so one has a shooting (or stabbing) end to a victim and the other same story but a breathless end???
By doing this I would think a producer could "kill two birds with one stone". (pardon the pun)
I am to thinking this would save some time and production costs?
Again I am just curious and please don't beat me up too much for asking.

This question also pops into my head every now and then...I see many videos who have a "clean" kill method (Strangle, hanging etc), and I've thought: Damn, what a waste (for me...hehe) That girl, in that outfit would look SO much better with a bleeding bullet hole or stab wound (or several) in her chest.
Here is one answer, and I can only speak about the videos I am involved with.
Making 2 videos with the same plot, just different types of killing, is boring to me. Instead I try to produce videos that have one killing by gun or knife and one by strangulation (or something else).
It is also true that even when you cater to a particular interest, you get comments like:
1) Too bad you didn't shoot her in the head instead of the stomach
2) Too bad you didn't shoot her in the breasts instead of in the head
3) It would have been so much better if you'd strangled her instead of knifing her
4) Too bad she wasn't wearing a uniform instead of a dress
Have I made my point? Instead I go for a variety of different things and stick with what does reasonably well in the marketplace.
I guess more clearly what I'm asking is...
If I am a producer and say I release 2 titles a month, one breathless title with actress Jane and one
shooting with actress Mary.
Would it be better all around if I made two endings with Jane and two ending with Mary.
Then offer two variations of each. (one shooting and one breathless)
I just thought it would not take all that long to make different ending on each.
Oh... I guess a good example in what I'm trying to ask is... Bluestone is kind of doing this already
with offering two versions on most of his Super Heroines type videos. (Extreme Versions or Peril Versions)
Anyway like I said before, I was just wondering.

Well, yes I do offer alternate endings with my superheroine videos, basically because I am catering to two distinct markets, not just different death versions; although with Catwarrior I did three endings, a chloroforming, a stabbing and a strangle ...but I digress.
I have already done this with death fetish videos, such as "Options" with Petra and Suzi. I credit KHP with a formula for this which he used to good effect. In "Options", Suzi is visualizing how she is going to kill Petra. She visualizes strangling her, then stabbing her, then machine-gunning her. So, Petra did die in that video in the same outfit in several different ways.
Did it save any time? Perhaps.
Would there be challenges with doing this for other videos? Yes. Mostly relating to costuming.
For strangles, the girls sometimes wear their own clothes, or we use clothes that we don't want to destroy. If we then use the same clothes for a stabbing and/or shooting, we may indeed destroy them. In "Options" it didn't matter, because we were going to destroy this silk blouse in the end anyway, but that's not always the case.
The second challenge is to come up with a plot that will either:
1. Allow for two or more different death scenes of the same actress in the same outfit, as with "Options"; or,
2. Film two separate videos with the same plot but with alternate endings.
The first could, as Max5s says, become boring very quickly.
The second could sell to both asphyxia and blood fans if packaged separately, but probably would require different titles to make it clear that "Petra Strangled" is sufficiently different from "Petra Bloodied".
It could work. What do the fans have to say?

Again, I am not trying to influence anybody.
I was Just curious strictly from the production (cost) and logistics point of view.
Also with the latest advances in CGI/FX technology (more affordable and more user friendly) available it seems to be
more do-able now to make two versions and not having to actually use any stage blood when producing a shooting or
stabbing video.
That way it seems to be stainless or a no-mess way to maybe make a shooting or stabbing video. Also...
It would seem to remove the necessity of having to use a death pad (floor mat) in shooting or stabbing scenes.
When it comes to computer technology I have to agree. It seems we can do a lot more now faster and cheaper then ever before.
At todays prices one can produce a great looking video at the fraction of the cost it was 15 or 20 years ago. At least when it comes to the equipment (cameras, computers ) and software. With that said though, I guess all the other aspects of making a fetish video are the same and or even more expensive. Especially finding and paying for the most important element! Good looking women who can act (and of course willing to do death fetish themed videos), will probably always be a producers most expensive part when making a video.
As for what producers should do, well of course it up to them and or the people who pay for custom videos.
Like G-Man it is also curious to ask: If I was a producer and on any given day I'm shooting a breathless video custom for someone, and at the end of the shoot I still have time left with my actress or actresses, why not shoot the death scene as a stabbing or shooting?
Then only from a business point of view I then just re-edit the last 2 to 4 minutes of the breathless video to a blood type of a killing(s).
To me this would seem to make sense if I would want to get the most return on my investment.
Then I may be able to sell more titles with the least amount additional work.
...but I digress.
