Member Geno's Suspension!

Something I find unusual is that Geno always loves to brag about how big his board's membership and traffic is. So why the need to communicate here? Everyone who belongs to FF also at least lurks at DS. If that's the case why not sit out the 30 days? He has his board from which he can share whatever opinions or information he wishes. We here will probably read about it there.

Simple, because being suspended from here means there is a board which he has no influence over. Even before DS, Geno was all over the boards under his Eugene/Maxwell monikers, it's obviously part of his character, to try to control. I mean, he's already trying to tell you what you should do Bluestone in regards to his access on here, wanting to ignore this poll.

As Paul says, this board is an extremely peaceful place to hang out and look (even though I don't post much, I do browse every day), and I fear that will change if Geno is reinstated. I really fail to see why we're wasting so much time discussing him. He's a proven liar, control freak and hatemongerer, do people really think that will disappear with one apology?

Not to worry. The friendly nature of this board is paramount. Free speech is, of course, always encouraged here, but adult, civil behaviour shall also be expected of all members. That is why this board is so friendly, not because we're afraid to speak our minds, but because we are allowed to do so, provided we respect other people's opinions and feelings. Perhaps we need a devil's advocate, but we will not permit poisonous snakes in the garden.

Now, please carry on with that free speech that FF is famous for, my friends.

Two Items:

1) Not withstanding any history and setting it aside forever, John Matrix is John Matrix and he earns his position in our community under this name and no other names or events should be associated with this name. He earns his persona by his conduct under John Matrix only.

2) Not withstanding any history and setting it aside forever, Geno created a most brilliant forum with the right balance of dynamics in creating an extremely successful forum in DeadSkirts. It has all the elements of the best forum I have seen in keeping things measured from the civil to the absurd, creating controversy, and strong member and lurker interest, along with bringing to light well founded information. I do respect him for his accomplishments and mean him no harm.

He made a mistake on this forum and he has apologized. He knows or should know his basic posting boundaries on this forum from here on out. I would let him back on as the forum administrators feel appropriate and give him the full respect as any poster here.

Hi All,

I edited some posts above as they dealt with unrelated matters to this thread and said that I would be transferring these posts to a fresh thread. Well, as a result of further actions taken by one of the parties involved, quotes from this thread, portions of which were deleted by me, were transferred without those deletions to the DS board, which is in violation of DS Rules. I have asked Geno and his moderators to remove that DS thread. Until it is removed, these issues will remain unresolved. Geno's reactions to squelching a flame war that has been transferred improperly to his board will demonstrate whether or not he is serious about being a civil contributor to this board. These deleted, but transferred posts, have now become extremely relevant to the whole issue of Geno's re-instatment here.

Geno, please do the right thing, and email me when this matter has been attended to. I will post the results of this request here.

I happen to know that Geno has said some very nasty things about Dennis, mostly I think out of fear and misuderstading than anything else...and yet Dennis is willing to put the good of the community before any personal acts of vengeance.

Let's leave the acts of vengeange to us femme fatales and our killers in the world of erotic fantasy and move on from this particular soap opera.

I concur with this assessment. What has happened has happened. The man has made his apology and it has been accepted. Give him the chance to prove that he meant it.

On the other hand, if the personal attacks and insults recur, then Blue should come down hard on him.

Agree with Paul and Evilbilly, I won't be hanging around if Geno is allowed back on, have had enough of this soap opera for a lifetime, I'll be sticking with PP I think. It really defeats me how people keep defending the guy when, as we speak, he's making veiled threats on DS in case he's not allowed back on inside the 30 days, so much for an apology!

My thinking is that this genre is dominated by a clique of people, living out their dramas in public, just gets firmer. PP, at least, seems neutral in all this and, considering Geno's hatred of all things same sex, it's not something he'll tend to go near.

My hope is that the majority voting in this poll, who are making their vloices clear, are actually taken notice of.
