What is your main fetish?: I love horror movies. Stuff that is made from the imagination. erotic art. I love sight of legs in pantyhose or stockings or tights or leggings. also mention of feet.

POV type view?

Post by Egeek »

The POV type view is a interesting element to use in a story. But can maybe make it confusing to read to maybe. I don't even know if I write the story right when I use that element. The POV of the vic or the killer or of someone who knew someone that was offed by the killer. For me I found that it makes the story more arousing. I can live without the POV as well. Either way for me. Writing in a POV of the killer or vic is interesting to do. I played the part of the killer in a story once and wrote in a POV. I haven't done the POV of the vic yet. How about everyone else?

I like the PoV can be either from the killer, or possibly the victim (rarely done!). Sometimes I've sene it done from the PoV of a 3rd helpless person who is forced to watch the killer slowly and deliberately offing a victim or loved one. Each time though it wasn't fatal but it was still one heck of a scene...

once or twice I played the killer character in a story scene I wrote. wrote it as that POV. Playing the vic in a POV would be tricky. I would be playing a female character and Im a male. It would feel strange for me. But thats my views on that. The POV view of a character forced to watch the killer off a victim or loved one would be interesting to read. You read the emotions of the person who is forced to see that. it effects that persons psyche. It could be a husband forced to see his wife be offed or vise versa or a son being forced to see his mother being offed. It brings a level of emotion to the scene and is horror as well.

Yeah that's the way I normally do it if it's from a non-killer PoV, do it through the eyes of somebody who really cares about the person who is being offed.
I did it once from the PoV of the (female) victim but it was very hard, got away with it (IMO) but have never tried it again since - quit whilst you're ahead!

when you do the POV of the killer. you go deeper into the mind of the psyche of your deviant killer character you created. If you are playing the killer character and write it in the POV you have that effect plus you are really venting. You are playing a character that you wouldnt do in reality. Complete opposite. Kind of like roleplaying but in text form. I dont think I ever had the chance to check out a story piece of yours where you wrote the POV through the eyes of somebody who cared for the person who was offed right in front of them or was known about?
