As far as porn, I just shoot the script---they are all customs--from your peers. :-). Luckily, unless it is part of the fetish, it is not figured into the overall pricing. And, since HD space is so cheap, no issues anymore with storage. Get a awesome program like Mpeg Streamclip, and quickly slice out the parts you don't want and make a custom edit in almost any format.

I've been editing videos to suit my preferences for years, and I even started a thread
in the How-To forum to help beginners get started in video editing. So that isn't the
issue - at least for me. My problem is with videos that are 80 to 90 percent porn with
death scenes seemingly added as an afterthought. I realize you must produce videos
suit your best-paying market. Unfortunately, for most part, I don't seem to be a part of
that market.

So all I ask is that you occasionally toss a few bones to death fetish purists like myself.

I cannot think of any movies that are 80-90% consensual sex. I think the longest scene might might have been around 10min. Most of those I cap at 3-4 min, though consensual is a rarity overall.
If you can point out some sample titles, it would help me understand what you mean.

...unless your not referring to consensual, but, instead, hardcore sexual content in any context. I have over 400 movies without any hardcore content and continue to make and release them monthly. In fact, there were 7 released in the last few months.

But, take "Morgue Story V". This represents a common, very popular series and one that would contain a lot of sexual content. However, in the 40minute movie, there is only 7minutes of actual hardcore sex or around 17% of the movie. The most sex filled movie to date I guess would be "Extinguished Cheerleaders" The movie has 33 minutes of hardcore sex. The entire movie is 93 minutes long. That is 35% of the movie. It is a significant part of the movie, however, as it is all on-topic fetish content as are other 40 or so movies in that torture/porn category are simular, though most with far less hardcore time. Staying away from that catagory would be a good idea. :-)

Hardcore sex actually costs a lot. You would be surprised to learn that in a days worth of shooting---which is usually 10-12 hours, only 40min at most is of hardcore content. Most of that is on-topic, meaning forced assault or necro. And, that time is spread over several movies.

There are, on occasion--I think about 6 of them now, that are POV movies, meaning the camera guy is the actor and killer. Those have way more by design.

Another thing to consider is that you might not be referring to PKF movies. Dirty Deeds, XXXTremeconiXXX and other production lines are produced by other folks with there own guidelines.

I do have good news. I am experimenting with creating alternate versions. I used to do it for TPAP and I may release a few on my alternative stores to see if they sell. Unfortunately, Nichelclips does not allow alternative versions of movies to be released, or it would have been a no brainer and I would have been doing it years ago.

Forgive me for being unclear and imprecise; and although it seemed
that way, I did not mean to single out PKF. Where once I regularly
bought from about twelve western producers, today the only western
producers I buy from are you, Max and Blue.

When I used the word "porn," I didn't mean to only imply consensual sex,
but hardcore sex in general. Now that I look at it, the line "videos that are
80 to 90 percent porn" is flat-out wrong. (Possibly the result of excessive
sobriety.) What I should have said was videos with only 10 to 20 percent
death fetish content, with the balance taken up with setups and forced sex.
In other words, I would much rather buy four, fifteen-minute, death-scene-only
videos than one sixty-minute video with only ten minutes of the content I'm
interested in. For years Paul (KHP) ran a very popular studio that turned out
death-scene-only videos. Blue does the same today, and so does AC Strangle
Girls. The reason I don't buy from ACSG has to do with my model preferences,
not with that they do or how they do it.

I'm very interested is your alternate-versions experiment. Shortly before COH
stopped producing, Alan began releasing two-part videos. Part one had the sex,
and part two the death scene. This certainly worked for me. If it hadn't been
for the loss of Raven Alexis I bet it would have been a success.

I have a series of videos, probably 50 or more, that start out with an attack or kidnapping of sorts, then extensive torture and forced sex, and finally a death at the end. Over the years I have ran various polls and sent emails to regulars asking about wether they felt I should try to keep it as one full movie when possible, or split it. The overwhelming result was to keep the full movie. And, on top if it, NC does not allow alternative versions. If I had my way, I would have both options posted.

So, it take more time to do this and sales would have to justify the work load without taking away from the sales of the main version. NC will not even let a new store be created with just these "death scene" versions. So, it will likely be released on my Marshman store. If I do, i will announce it and post a link on my forum.
