At first I thought it may be Angie Dickinson in 'Dressed to Kill.' She died in an elevator. But that is wrong year, 1980. And she was slashed to death. So Angie is wrong.

My First Guess is Sally Kellerman in 'Drop Dead Gorgeous,' AKA 'Victim of Beauty.' Year is okay, 1991. Hair color is right. But it doesn't quite look like her face.

Your clue made me thing of 'Prizzi's Honor;' but that's the wrong year again.

I've seen the clip from which this screen cap was taken, I just don't know the title of the movie. I do know that it isn't "Prizzi's Honor". Nor is the actress Sally Kellerman. If I'm not mistaken, it was from a foreign-language film.

That's not much of a clue. Shannon Tweed must have been in about 30 movies in the 1990s.
I guess I'll go to Cinemorgue, to see which ones she died in, then I can eliminate those.
