Often, webmasters are the ones who start threads to encourage interaction and participation on message boards, but that really narrows the perspective. Sure, I can start a thread about 'skirt deaths' or 'impaling with non-traditional weapons' or 'suspension stranglings', but there are many other members who want to discuss other likes and dislikes and/or are more qualified on these and other topics. Sooooo, with much pomp and pagentry, I HEREBY ANNOUNCE THE EROTIC THREAD WARS CONTEST!!!!
It's very simple. Whoever authors the most popular on-topic thread on this forum over the next week will win the undying appreciation of the members, and hopefully the dying appreciation of many sexy victims! Why do you want to join this forum?: I was interested in the promotional pictures of Suzi and Tiffany fighting, of Tina in Urban Hunter, and wanted to see more.
I have to say that I'm not particularly enthusiastic about the idea of a thread war. I understand why you want to generate more interactions and participation on your board, and I'm fine with that. However, I like the laid back and mostly friendly ambience of this board. I have zero interest in competing with others to get more posts. Encouraging people to post a lot of messages so someone will win a video encourages people to post many frivolous messages that contribute little or nothing of value. Thursday is Thanksgiving in the U.S., so many Americans may not be available to post messages on threads of interest, which may bias the results in favor of non-American posters.
What do other people think about this idea? Maybe if a lot of people post their opinions on this subject to this thread, then Blue will win a free video for himself!
Don't encourage frivolous threads, and they won't go anywhere. Let's put up some interesting topics, and just post on the ones of interest to you. It's a friendly competition... no different than a manip contest really. It's just time that we heard from more members. I'm getting sick of hearing my own cyber voice all the time. I'm sure you are too!
