I Miss Dalila!

I hear elsewhere that Dalila is burnt out and has left the community. We were supposed to shoot for the second time together last September, but she had to cancel. She said that she'd re-schedule, but then her emails got fewer and farther between. I still have several unedited videos that I shot with her. So, there'll still be new Dalila videos released over the coming months, but I'll really miss shooting, and visiting, with her and Lucky.

Dalila will be missed, as she has been the other times she has taken a hiatus; she's a wonderful, engaging, multi-dimensional, very interesting woman who has also been a 'community' icon for years. And one of my favorite Dalila 'clips' is a personal one she provided from her doing Opera...including her death scene in a totally non-fantasy movie. Personally, I'm sorry she and I did not 'connect' earlier in our online years so that I could have enjoyed her and interaction with her far more!

I note, Blue, that the word 'disgusted' was added to 'burnout' as a reason for her departure this time, and that word was used by the Poster and verified by Dennis of CnB. I would be very interested in knowing what behaviors or actions either in 'the Community' at-large or towards her personally or by specific Community Members have made her 'disgusted'. This is not the first time I and we have heard that term used by long-standing female community members, as it does not sound like a moral epiphany of her own that has altered her attitudes toward these fantasies.

So my unsubstantiated opinion from what I know of Dalila and the minimal times we have shared together, is that likely there have been specific actions, behaviors, attitudes, and/or words by Others in the Community that have led to her 'disgust'.

I simply wish her and her family health and happiness.

I will email her and simply ask her what constituted the 'disgust' that she feels for something or someone in our community. I will report back if she both answers and gives her permission for me to post her answer to that question.

Me too, from what I remember of Dalila I always found her thick-skinned, witty, intelligent, outgoing, and with a clear love for her work. For her to turn her back on it IMO somebody or something must have really upset her deeply...

She has these feelings and more but many are personal and unrelated to the community. She has expressed no ill feelings of our community or for any single individual or group here. Her disgust is to the overwhelming privacy where her videos are distributed by pirates within a week or two after production. This is at the center of her using the term 'disgust'. However, she has overwhelming issues that only she and her husband and I discuss unrelated to her work. They certainly aren't marital problems, but this deep recession has hurt many of us and the two of them in particular. I am helping them as I can to make sure they are safe and the best I can do with other issues.

I strongly suspect that in a year or two she will be producing again given how badly she says she wants to continue and I hope I will be hosting her again.

Thanks for the clarification, Dennis. I've been in communication with Dalila and her hubby too up to a few months ago, and I am also aware of those issues. I completely understand her feelings and share them regarding piracy and file sharing. That single stupid action by so-called fans of our work, sharing it on message boards to be praised by others for their generosity, may one day lead to the departure of all of the good producers from this genre. I can't believe that people can be so thoughtless. Sharing Hollywood movies is one thing, but our producers don't make millions, thousands, or, in some cases, even hundreds on our movies, so unlike Hollywood, they cannot survive if their work is constantly being pirated and shared for free. Every sale is vital. I hope these people come to their senses before we lose more first rate producers such as Dalila, UKSG and the others who have left the public domain because of piracy.
