Snuffie 2011 Nominations closed & VOTING IS OPEN!!!!

Well, it looks like there weren't many great producers or actresses in 2011, and certainly no hanging videos even worth a nomination!

What does this say about our community?

Well, it either says that the consumers are not impressed with what producers have to offer this community, or that they just don't care enough to post a nomination. I do appreciate those who have nominated videos throughout the year as well as the nominations for best producer and actress of the year, but I know that there are many very good producers and actresses and videos from last year that haven't received a nomination.

Well, whatever the reason, there are only 3 days left for nominations as of this writing. Nominations will indeed close on midnight March 15th! So, get those last minute nominations posted on the Nomination Thread at the Snuffie Awards subforum. Voting will commence on March 16th.

Interesting, Blue, I can't tell whether no Snuffie nominations for us means that we don't produce anything that is worth mention by the fans and customers, or whether no one really got around to taking the time to fill a nomination out. I can understand why any given production isn't top-of-mind when the next ten productions from all the producers are coming down like a waterfall right behind it.

It's discouraging because we put a lot of time into story, locations, and effects into our Grey Panther/Rue Morgue productions, but who knows if that is worthwhile? Smudger gave us a very thoughtful review on The City That Never Sleeps, which I thought had some extremely good killings, a fresh location, HD quality and was very pretty to look at, but his was the only comment we ever received.

The one thing that people could do to improve quality is to give ratings and commentary on all the various productions. How can we get people to give good feedback????

That is the question, TG!

FF has provided the Candid Review forum for customer feedback, as well as the Snuffie Awards. It just occurred to me that members can vote anonymously, but not nominate anonymously. Perhaps, that is part of the problem. Perhaps, those who don't post don't want to post to nominate. If that is the case, any non-producer can nominate for the Snuffies by simply sending me an email at: DDGBluestone@hotmail.com.

TG, I know exactly how you're feeling. Even if you don't get a Snuffie nomination, feedback would be nice. The community will get the productions they deserve, if they don't provide constructive criticism to we producers. If we don't know what people want or enjoy or detest or don't want to see, how the heck are we supposed to give the people what they want???!!! I feel your pain.

(P.S. I do appreciate the Bluestone nominations, but I'm speaking on behalf of all producers when I say, please support the Snuffies, because they are your people's choice awards, and the feedback that they represent is needed by all of the producers of our community!)
