A hot one! I always had mixed feelings about babe deaths in Andy sidaris flicks! I enjoyed the babe deaths in Seven, Guns and Picasso Trigger, but always felt there should have been a lot more in his films! Especially with the sheer volume of hot ladies in them! just me...

A hot one! I always had mixed feelings about babe deaths in Andy sidaris flicks! I enjoyed the babe deaths in Seven, Guns and Picasso Trigger, but always felt there should have been a lot more in his films! Especially with the sheer volume of hot ladies in them! just me...

And then after his daughter took over it became just softcore porn and died.

I wish someone would step up and be the next Andy Sidaris, increasing the babe deaths (not explosions). Oh well.

Templar, I certainly agree with you... I have no idea what the political or economic dynamics were, but the visible path was just as you suggest.., more explosions and soft core, and less of the great shootings like Guns, then it died. Reminds me of the story my grandfather used to tell about the rancher who began feeding his horse sawdust because it was cheaper. Too bad, the story went, about the time the horse got to like it, it died...

My thought at the time was that political correctness nuts hounded them into being less visibly violent toward the ladies, and the daughter was more susceptible to the argument.

Right. I remember seeing a production company that was an offshoot of Troma. It touted the same sleeze but eww... none of that mean violence. Like a movie with vampire girls but no stakes, just lesbian sex. Basically it was all just softcore porn and then it died... just like SO many others! It's time for films with sex AND violence! That's what people want!

Big O, you're very right. A lot of wasted opportunities in the Sidaris films. On the rare occasions though like the Vasquez scene he showed he could do it. Just not often enough!

Seven? : what movie is that?

Seven was one of his first movies filmed in Hawaii and included an evil Bellydancer played by Little Egypt. The ending was very nice! :)
