Why Do You Post?

What is the main reason why you post on community boards such as this one?

There must be many and varied reasons.

On one level I post to advertize my videos, but that's not the main reason, since I started posting on these boards long before I was a producer. In fact, it was while posting on Femmegore that I first came up with the idea of contributing to this community by producing content. I think the main reason that I came out of the closet and started posting was so that I could interact with other like-minded people and feel a part of this special community of ours. Reading posts is passive and detached. Writing posts is active and leads to interaction.

What about you? What motivates you to post?

well for me it's sharing my interests with other fetish fans.

Okay, I suggested this so now I guess I'm obliged to answer. My main reason for posting on this and other boards is to encourage people to produce what I like best. There are so many variations on the fetish that some of them risk getting lost in the shuffle, so I try to keep my freak flag flying, and remind producers that few things are as beautiful in this beautiful world as a long pointy thing stuck in the center of a round bouncy thing. I commission customs when possible, but that gets a bit pricey, so in between I buy videos that push my buttons, and I belong to subscription sites that at least occasionally cater to my whim of iron. I post to encourage bullseyes, to applaud bullseyes, and also to commit bullseyes by posting manips designed to show, however simply, that sharp plus soft equals sweet. Getting responses from members who share my interest is icing on the cake, and I think helps producers to realize that there's a whole bunch of us bullseye boys out here, and we should not be lost in a sea of shoes and short skirts and stranglings. I post because if I didn't I'd be a lurker and that sounds a bit creepy. So I post.

I post to keep interest in the site alive,and to contribute in at least a small way.

I identify with the reasons expressed by both Lady Ash and Nekosan, as to why I post on sites like this. Having said that, I have posted more on other sites than here, probably because this site is focuses more on movies, the possession of which is now illegal where I live!

Another reason that I post is to explore why I and other people have these fantasies and how we feel about them. I find their origins very interesting, and also like to discuss the symbolism and associated psychology.

I think the last reason is that it's, in a sense, cathartic - for so long, these fantasies were 'repressed' or at least 'contained', and fora like this one are a fabulous outlet - I find it reassuring to know that there are like-minded souls out there.

I post because I am a social animal and cyberspace is where I live much of the time. I post about anything that interests me, in much the same way that people will have conversations with friends in the same room.

This is just one of the many 'rooms' in which I find friends and social interaction. It just so happens that this room is where the subject of my fetish interests come up a lot. But I also participate a great deal in places where economics is the prevalent subject, or games, or science and science fiction, or martial arts, or...
