What I get when I go there is the notice, "The website you were trying to reach is temporarily unavailable". Let's hope that it is temporary. I know that a lot of members really enjoy the atmosphere on PP, and it would be a shame if it has shut down. Does anyone know for sure what's happening over there?

I know that Victoria Lust has recently returned to DS with a lot of fanfare. Could this be why? Are PP members returning to DS, because PP is no longer? Hopefully, they will get better treatment over there than the treatment that forced them to form PP in the first place. If not, they should know by now that there are other alternatives

If Sandi or others know the fate of PP, could you kindly share?

I don't know what is happening at PP right now. I will email one of those who Host the Site and see what the story is. All I can tell you, since I have not visited there myself for a while, is that as recently as a day ago I was still receiving 'requests for joining' via email, which I do for each prospective Member since I'm a Moderator officially.

I'll send an email today and let you know what I hear back.

Has there been an answer on this? I'm not a PP member, and in all honesty
I hardly ever visited there. In fact I discovered PP was missing by accidentally
clicking the wrong bookmark. Nevertheless I’m concerned when any death fetish
community goes down, and want to know the reason why.

Hey All,

I changed the title on this thread to highlight what it is about, and to allow any PP members a place to find out information about the fate of Poisoned Paradigm! I believe that PP is still considered a rival board over at DS, so any threads such as this one would probably be removed over there. FF does not consider any other board to have so-called rival status. So, PP members should feel free to use this thread to exchange information about PP and, hopefully, its eventual return to the net. I am a PP member myself and have advertised over there, so FF has always considered PP to be a friendly neighbour in our community. It is sad to see that they may be having problems staying on-line

Well, PP is still down and no news has been posted by Sandi or the other PP members who I know are members here. No news in this case sounds like bad news.

PP was a great resource for a lot of material, especially a wealth of wonderful stories. Hopefully, they won't be lost to the community. If any PP authors want their stories reposted on FF, just email me, and I'll set up storyteller access for you, if you don't already have it.

Update on PP, with no answers yet.

There were two very well known and established Producers in our Community, whom I had recruited for PP because of their knowledge and experience my personal respect for each of them, who stepped in when the young Webmistress had to drop away for personal reasons. One hosted the Site, I thought, on his Server, and I just heard back this morning.

One of these Webmasters posted our query at the Webmaster's Forum, and no one has any clue as to what happened and no replies have been forthcoming yet. The Webmaster who offered to pay the fees each year was told by the Webmistress that the account could not be changed to his name, but that if she ever ran into financial trouble to pay the fees, she would contact him.

No one has heard from her for well over a year, probably 2 years, and now emails have not been returned from her to the inquiring Webmaster. And it has been 2 years since he offered to pay those ongoing fees and had it explained that he could not because the account had to remain in her name

I only refrain from using the Webmasters' names in case they wish their involvement to be non-public knowledge.

Bottom line for now, no one can be found yet to answer the question of what happened to the Site.

I'll keep trying to find information, but I exhausted my first options that I thought would reveal the answer. It could have to do with paying fees, or maybe not; I have, obviously, no idea.

Even as a Moderator, I did not visit the Site very frequently, but it was a fun site with good people and NO controversy and a perfect atmosphere for an online fantasy fun group to share things, so I hope it can come back for those who truly enjoyed their interactions together there.

Geno's already deleted Yoko's attempt on DS to inquire about PP's situation. Man, that guy sure knows how to hold grudges. I hope PP comes back on-line for several reasons, one of which is to get Geno's goat

Well, it looks like PP is indeed gone, since it's been off-line now for over a week and a half with no good news, or any more news, from Sandi.

Any tributes to this well-loved board can be posted on this thread.

My understanding was that it was a gift from one friend to another, creating a peaceful place where they and like-minded individuals could hang out and discuss their fetish without the nastiness and role-playing that often, and still does, sour one's experience with the DS board. A large group of DS'ers moved over to populate PP, and it had an impressive growth and a good two year run. Although populated by a lot of female former members of DS, who felt prejudiced against by the DS monarch, there were also many male members who enjoyed the atmosphere at PP, including me. It's sad whenever any community message board goes down, but especially one so positive-minded as this calm oasis on the net. You will be missed Poisoned Paradigm

I liked PP a lot. It was fun when it first started, when it was active, but I found that the board had been slowly dying for a long time. People disappeared, myself included. I thought, when I left, that I wasn't missing much. But now that it's gone, I find myself missing it.

Yes, sometimes we don't appreciate people and things until they're gone. So, what was it about PP that everyone enjoyed the most? Is there anything that we can do here to re-create at least a portion of that grand site? I'm open to suggestions. We could create a thread or even a subforum dedicated to the memory of PP. What we need first is a roll call. I know that many people have dual and multiple memberships on other boards.

Calling all Poisoned Paradigm fans!!! What do you miss the most about that site, and what can be done to re-create at least some of that lost magic here or elsewhere?

Are the site files themselves still in existence and available to be transferred in their entirety to another server. I can offer my server for free, if someone has the will and skill to get the files over to me, with the owner's consent of course. If the files will not be released without payment of overdue hosting fees, I will raise the funds to pay those fees. If we really want to save the Paradigm, we have to act quickly and decisively.
