New FF Server is up and running!

Welcome back, everyone!

That was one wild ride migrating to the new FF server. The migration kicked all members out temporarily from the site, then caused login issues, and finally prevented everyone, including Yours Truly, from posting. In addition, the Silk 'N Blood store was down for about 3 days.

Well, I think we've solved most of the problems, and everyone should be able to post on the board now.

If you are still having login issues, please send me an email to DDGBluestone@hotmail.com and I'll make sure everyone gets back on the board. The Captcha error is gone now as well as the Blacklist posting error. So, I think we can now put regular outages behind us and enjoy a smoother, steadier experience on the FF ship of state for many years to come.

We're now working on speeding up the MB. It is running quite slow right now. So, still tweaking things over the next day or so.

Yes, it must be Director B spilling his Coke over the server's keyboard again!

I am now resetting passwords for those who still cannot login. Simply email me at DDGBluestone@hotmail.com and I'll personally get you logged in. The migration must have corrupted passwords for several folks. Sorry about that, guys. Hang in there!

Thanks for the boost, Elsullo. I was actually feeling down, suffering a LOT of stress when everything seemed to go wrong with the server migration. Not only did it take forever, but then my store sites and the FF board went down for days. When they came back on-line there were numerous fixes that had to be found. Even now, I get several requests a day to fix members' logins. So, not a lot of joy here... just relief that we're 95% back to normal in the Bluestone universe.

I know that Murphy is in charge for big projects like that, but I'm glad you've finally taken back the director's chair and gotten things squared away for almost everyone now. Tough times, but we appreciate your efforts. We all MISSED your board and site when it was temporarily indisposed...!

No problem. I'm still getting members back in manually, but the reset system seems to be working fine for most.

Blue, if you ever need help with server related stuff, just let me know. (If you are hosting your sites on a UNIX based server) I have decent knowledge with Linux based servers. I am a server admin by profession.
