The animated "ejecting shells effect" compares well with other films shot in a digital format. Look at the digital effects of shells ejecting in the movie "Inspector Gadget" or the "Matrix" for example. The animation of shells is more exaggerated in some scenes in those clips.
Max did it exactly how I would have done it.
Hollywood has relied heavily on pumps and explosive squibs to simulate bullet impacts....which can't be used on bare flesh. Are those Hollywood explosive simulations realistic? I think not.
With that in mind, I know how difficult it is to digitally add the dimpling/rippling/blood spray effects.
IMHO the effects look better than the over exaggerated explosive squib effects which would never work on bare flesh anyway.
I spent a lot of time consulting Max to bring him up to his present level, and I think he is doing some fine work.
The model's acting and reactions looked good. Her vocal sounds could be improved on, and I'm sure that given some direction and practice she will come through better in the future.
I'm not sure what kind of cows KHP plays with.....and I don't even want to know. But Maxine X didn't sound like the cows I've seen and heard in my life time.
I agree with KHP on some issues. I'm not one for long lead in scenes. I would have chopped the beginning scenes to get to the action as fast as possible without ruining the continuity.
KHP is right about the killer but he failed to mention that the killer wasn't wearing gloves. He left his fingerprints all over the front door. A more formal looking, long, dark, overcoat would have made the killer look more sophisticated....(I'll bet Blue had one in his closet too).
All things considered, Blue has provided us with a cool video featuring a lovely actress with a nice set of big naturals getting some good fx bullet treatments. The video quality is excellent.
Thanks Blue.
