Annoying Survey Questions
Is anyone besides me getting really annoying pop ups asking for participation in a survey about Femme Fatalities? My pop up blocker doesn't phase them.

Re: Annoying Survey Questions
I'm not aware of any surveys. Anyone else getting these pop-ups? I'm not, and I haven't set up any such surveys. So, it may be indeed be malware, Max.

Thanks for the feedback.
If this isn't a problems for others, then perhaps Blue might want to delete this thread.
I switched to using Firefox awhile back, and I'm not to pleased with it. I get a lot of pop ups from mozilla, too.

Re: Annoying Survey Questions
Maxs,
Firefox is a really good web browser. I think your issue comes within the explorer itself (I mean the computer system, not the web browsers).
What you are saying is that if you try Internet Explorer or Opera then you dont get as many pop ups?

Re: Annoying Survey Questions
Just so everyone knows...
I have not and will not enter into any advertising arrangement to fund this board. There will NEVER be porn links, pop-ups, or anything like that. Personally, I absolutely hate that kind of stuff! So, any issue that Max is having with pop-ups does not relate to the FF site, which is on a secure server owned by me. If anyone encounters any sort of problem such as Max is experiencing, please feel free to post it here, so that it can be dealt with. Just recently, one of my actresses' email account became infected, and I was getting links, apparently to her Facebook page, which were obviously virus infected. I didn't click on the links, but she emailed me to warn me, after others had. So, be careful out there, my friends. Viruses and malware threats are very real and insidious.

Re: Annoying Survey Questions
Well at least it is intermittent, but it seem to be associated with Firefox. It started when I switched browsers and has yet to reoccur when using IE. When I switch back to FF, it starts happening again.TenderFlesh wrote:FYI, I'm not having any problems and hope you can resolve it Max, because it is so ANNOYING when that happens.

Re: Annoying Survey Questions
For Firefox, they offer a free web developers toolbar. It's pretty cool. You can look at scripting on any site you visit and manual or automatically add exclusions and blocks.
I stopped using IE about 3 years ago because of it's coding and openness to malware.
I don't run any PC based computers for my business anymore, so all this stuff is not an issue for my Macs. But, I still have a PC at him for family use and find Firefox is cleaner then IE, however I keep them both on as some like IE and some like Firefox.
If your running a PC, I hear Google Chrome is pretty good as well.
Good luck,
JohnM

Re: Annoying Survey Questions
No pop-ups with IE 8. I have and occasionally use the latest version of Firefox, but I can't say I'm a fan.
