My Clip Sites - October News

I have good news and bad news.

Bad news - The solution my friend and I came up with to solve my PC's crashing problem failed. I'm running stress tests on the hardware to see if I can finally isolate the cause, but it's looking more like I'm going to have to build a new PC.

Good news - We solved the problem with my freshly re-installed video editor not recognizing AVI files. The in-app method of activating the file type wouldn't work, so we figured out another approach via Pinnacle's web site. I've saved the activation keys to a text file in case I need them again later.

I'm going to try to update my sites later tonight, but am not making any promises.

thanks for keeping us updated. sadly I think my mac is pretty much not usable. The GPU is going and the mac is 3 year old or more I think. Dont have the money to get it fixed. Plus a new mac wouldnt be cheap like getting a new pc. Sadly I will miss using Imovie. I wish they made windows live movie maker like Imovie.

good luck. Its much appreciated that you share mainstream scenes like that. Give descriptions of the scenes and your own views on it. A mini review.

The hardware stress tests proved useless. I have no idea why my PC keeps crashing, and I'm tired of trying to fix it.

Time for Plan B. I'm building a new PC, and suspending clip updates until the new one is up and running.

Thank you for your continued patience.

I ordered the parts for my new PC last night. If all goes well, by this time next weekend, I'll be rockin' a brand new 3.5 GHz Core i7-4770K with 32 GB of RAM and a 4 GB Geforce GTX 760 video card.

Updates will resume on the 19th to give myself time to reorganize and make sure everything's running smoothly.

Surprise!

Two days ago, my PC somehow survived taking 6 hours to render a futuristic pinup I posted on my my deviantART page, and then another 6 hours last night re-rendering the same piece after I added a metallic shine to the ship's hull. There were a number of questionable moments while setting the scene up in Poser, but once I left it alone to start rendering, everything was fine. So, I decided press my luck by updating Cinemasphyxia. There were several pauses during which my PC appeared certain to crash, but it didn't, and I managed to edit four new clips!

I considered trying to update Crimson Rush as well, but Cinemasphyxia has been around the longest, and suffered the most setbacks over time. This month happens to be the site's 14th anniversary (YAY!), and I've worked too hard to get it back on track just to miss an update this early in the month. Fantasy asphyxia is also my main fetish, so there ya go.

New this week are clips from the following:

Strangling: Counterstrike S1E2: "Dead In The Air"
Strangling: Shiver

All of the components for my new PC are here! Now I get to enjoy putting it all together!

See you on the 19th! :D

IT'S ALIVE!!!!

My friend and I started my new build at around 8pm Wednesday night, and had it up and running by 1am. There's a cosmetic lighting effect on the front case fan we're trying to figure out how to connect to the motherboard - the case manual was sparse, forcing us to rely on past experience with previous builds. Otherwise, my new PC is running smooth as silk. :)

I've started organizing all of my files, and am on track to resume updates for Cinemasphyxia and Crimson Rush next weekend! :D

Wow, what a week! I've spent most of the day upgrading to Windows 8.1 after learning that the software I use for capturing and editing video is now compatible with the new version. Brand new PC, brand new operating system, and everything actually works! Woohoo! Now, finally, the weekly updates can resume!

Unfortunately, I ran out of time to do the write-ups for this week's update, so I'll post them later. But, I promised we'd be back in business on the 19th, so here you are. :)

Cinemasphyxia

Strangling: Teen Wolf S3E10: "The Overlooked"

The following tites have been upgraded to 720 x 480 WMV:

Is the movie the prowler on the list for the crimson rush site in the maybe near future? I love tom savini's work. If I recall that jack frost 2 killer snow man movie did have some fun kill scenes. A campy horror movie which is fun to see as well as the more serious slasher flicks.
