This week marks the 7th anniversary since the site's relaunch in 2004, and the 12th year I've been editing clips.

I started in 1999 with a tiny little site called Out of the Shadows. Back then, I couldn't afford to do much. I kept rotating just four clips a week, alternating between new content and repeats. The indices were nothing but a catalog of scene descriptions and preview pics. Unfortunately, financial issues forced me to shut it down in 2002. Two years later, bandwidth became more affordable, and two years after that I was able to put my entire archive online. I've kept a steady stream of new clips posted ever since.

I'm still heavily focused on creating my own art, but Cinemasphyxia.com is my baby, and I still think it provides a really fun service to the community. I grew up on mainstream movies and TV. As much crap as there is out there, I always get excited when I see something that blows me away, and that's part of why the site exists. To that point, I'm very happy to be back in action, and I'm especially happy that, after spending the last 8 months discovering how glacier slow my creative process is, I've found a way to enjoy both hobbies. :)

On that note, I'm pleased to report that a member request I received years ago has finally been filled. I recently found a VHS copy of the movie on Amazon.com for just a few dollars. It arrived the other day, and is now online.

New this week is a clip from the following:

Drowning: Witchers II

I'm also very happy to report that I was able to track down VHS copies of a couple other movies which contain four of my favorite scenes. The following titles have had their old MPEG's replaced with new WMV's:

Drowning: The Deadly Intruder
Drowning: Fatal Pulse
Strangling: The Deadly Intruder
Strangling: Fatal Pulse
