Candid Review Forum - Facelift!

Well, it was long overdue. I was going to create an on-going index for the reviews, but it would have been a full-time job. Soooo, I have separated the Candid Review Forum into subforums for each of the major current producers. In this way, there is a new sense of organization to the forum, and defunct producer reviews have been relegated to the "Historical" subforum, such as KHP.
I need everyone's feedback on the changes, specifically:
1. Producers should let me know if I screwed up with their various production company names. I have grouped videos from the same general producer under one subforum, for example, JohnM's "Dirty Deeds" is under "PKF Studios". I need some help though with Rumsprings, Cold Kills and some others. Who operates these companies now?
2. Are the following producers defunct or still active?:
Pure Terror, Horrorgasm, Killville, Casualities of Horror, AC Strangle Girls, Hunter's Lair of Horrors, Brutal Tales, Gallop Video Productions, and Crimson Rapture.
Their reviews are as yet unallocated.
3. What do the fans think of the renovated forum?
4. Initially, I tried to discourage reviews of just my films and those of the other FF producers, so that we could get a cross-section of reviews with respect to all community producers. Now that we have loads of reviews of numerous producers, feel free to review the FF producers as well as non FF producers.
5. We always need more reviews, so please post your reviews, whether they are positive or negative, because this is a resource to alert consumers to what's good and not so good out there, before they part with their hard-earned money. By the way, there appear to be no reviews of Brandy's Alpha 7 Productions. There must be someone who can review some of her films.

Pure Terror, Horrorgasm, Killville, Casualties of Horror, AC Strangle Girls, Brutal Tales, and Gallop Video Productions are no longer producing content, so you can move those reviews to the defunct section.

My only concern is that, as more people get online for the first time and find message boards like this one, they aren't going to have any context with which to associate any of the producers listed. If possible, I would suggest adding a few lines of text at the top of the review section explaining its purpose, what type of content each producer offers, and a link to sites like NicheClips and The Progressive Art project so they know where to find material they can buy.
Bluestone wrote:5. We always need more reviews...
Since I've started updating my clip site again, I might consider writing reviews again as well. Problem is, I've become increasingly picky, and I'm buying less and less. In fact, I've bought only 15 videos so far this year.

She has yet to produce anything of interest to me.

Casulties of Horror, COH Extreme and AC Strangle Girls all have active
NicheClips stores, so even though they aren't producing new content, they
can't be considered to be defunct.
Same applies to Gallop, Their stuff is available through Clips4sale, Giga
and 2kill4.net. Giga plans to eventually carry most if not all Gallop titles.
"The Great Neck Squeeze" is still available through 2kill4.net. So it shouldn't
be in the defunct producers section.
Like the new format. Makes sense.

Crimson Rapture is Brandy D'Vinn's NicheClips Store.

Thanks for your information and suggestions Nyghtfall!
Al indicated that some of those apparently defunct producers still have active stores, but I've removed the others to the 'Historical Producers' folder.
I've created a new sub-forum at the top of the page that contains the Rules, Links to Nicheclips and T.P.A.P., as well as other information.
As for the content that each producer offers, I think I should leave that to the producers themselves. If all relevant producers send me a summary of similar length to the summary on the Bluestone Silk Videos Review sub-forum, I will add it to their sub-forums. Okay?
Great to hear that you may be reviewing again!
By the way, any reviewers that have posted reviews elsewhere can copy them to the Candid Review Forum.
Looks like there is indeed a Brandy review under the Crimson Rapture name. I have moved it to her sub-forum.

Hunter's Lair of Horrors has an active NicheClips store
which added new content last month.

Thanks, Al!
What about "Rumsprings"? I know they're active, but are they owned by Hank of RueMorgue, JohnM, or someone else? Does anyone know?

Yes. I think this is an improvement. It now makes the reviews seem much more accessible. And I suspect people might sometimes be looking for reviews of a particular producer, if not a particular video, and this will make things a 'lot' easier.
I had not realized (forgot I guess) that my video 'Maximum Consent' had been reviewed twice.

I don't know if this will make it easier or harder to find new reviews, which I suspect most people will be looking for once they've checked out the old ones. However I do think that it would help to use the producer's current name rather than the old one. You should probably check with Susy and Evangeline, Blue. I don't think they're using Susyfight and Night Frights anymore, and they would probably prefer to be listed under their current company names.

Looks good.

That could work, but I was thinking of something more general, like:
"Welcome to Femme Fatalities!
Do you like graphic, on-screen violence in movies and TV shows? Does watching beautiful women act out death scenes in fantasy role play turn you on? Guess what! You're not alone! There's a whole community full of people like you, and a long list of producers who create fresh, original material that's loaded with fantasy death scenes! Here are just afew examples:
Bluestone Silk Videos (Me!), Psycho-Thrillers, PKF Studios, Crimson Rapture, Chris' Corner, Night Frights, Ruemorgue
You can buy videos from those producers and more at third-party distributors like NicheClips.com and The-Progressive-Art-Project.com, who are designed specifically to cater to our fetish. I've also set up a section here called the Candid Video and Movie Reviews forum, with sub-forums indexed by producer. If you find a video you like, or want to warn others against a bad buy - even if it's one of my productions - you can use the video review forum to share your thoughts! There's even a section for mainstream movie and TV reviews!
So don't be shy! You're on the Internet, where anonymity reigns supreme! All I ask is that you not be a dick (grin)."

Rumspringa is owned by HankS of Ruemorgue. I don't know if he's still producing anything for that store though.

Thank you for thinking of me but the truth is i have two stores. one is under evangeline and the nicheclips is found under night frights.
If blue wanted to put it as Evangeline/nightfrights that would be fine but if it poses a problem then it can stay. either way is fine.
I run a few forum boards from everything form bondage to robotech and I know how hard it is to keep a forum vibrant. I think the facelift is a good thing and it works for me. I think it will be easier for people to find reviews
Hi Evangeline,
I changed your sub-forum to "Evangeline/Night Frights", you sly devil. It moved you up a notch in the alphabetical listing.
Glad you like the new look to the Candid Review Forum. It is indeed hard to keep a forum fresh, but I do get a lot of help, such as from my new script-writer Nyghtfall.
Nyghtfall,
That suggested text is perfect! I may just cut and paste it, as long as you don't sue me for copyright infringement.
Also, thanks for answering my Rumsprings question, since now I have a home for that Rumsprings review.

Thanks, Nyghtfall!
I edited it further, so that I have a defence when you bring that copyright infringement action against me.
I made it global as you seemed to be suggesting, so that new members can see it on all of the forums.
It's cool when the members provide such useful ideas to improve the death fetish experience for the community in general. Bravo!
