Yes, is this site experiencing problems? I tried to re-join, but without success, it loses the application just after I authorise the transaction, though at least my credit card hasn't been charged!

This is the first I heard of this. If it does it again email me. However, applications are coming in as usual and no one has said anything about this. Anyway let me know if it happens again.

Yes, Den, on my second attempt I succeeded in joining using different cards and address, but there is still a problem since when I try to log in it doesn't accept the details which I was sent:

Username= 1297059404

I won't state the password for obvious reasons but your system does not accept what you sent me.

I sent you an email.

The access codes are good - I checked them and can get on.

It is most likely that your old password is being used by default by your browser. If you can't get on now, delete your old access codes in your browser or use another browser. If you are using Firefox you will experience this when renewing membership with any pay site. I recommend you change browsers for at least for pay sites or this will be a continuing problem.

Let me know if this solves the problem.

Smudger, I can attest that these "remembered" codes can be a problem, even when you seem to be entering the right information at the time. In my case, I have a list of "favorites," and it is necessary to change the remembered information in the Favorite listing itself to update the codes each time. The strange thing is that it isn't a problem on every site, just some of them. But CNB is definitely one where I have to change the data each time I renew. Hope this is reassuring!

I don't know what the problem is. I will issue a refund.

Appreciate your honesty as always Den- but I'd sooner stay a member! Maybe you could give me new access codes? Is there a problem with U.K.? In three days I will be abroad....

I issued new access codes. I know of no problems with the UK or any efforts by the government to block our sites. The only government I know of to specifically block our sites is communist China but still get members from them via proxy servers.

I manage 24 paysites and all use the same password system and there are many other paysites I don't manage that have the same system. Virtually all my calls for support are from Firefox users with the password issue and a wide range of other problems while users of other browsers rarely have support needs.

Sorry, Dennis. I wasn't trying to be critical. The problem is my AOL service, not your servers. It is just my AOL acts up more in some situations than in others, for some perverse reason. I can't ever get a download from Rue Morgue through AOL, for example, but if I just open Internet Explorer and do it, it works just fine. Again, you and your service have always been top notch.
