We're almost there, ladies and gentleman. Blue, I hope you're prepared for this. Genuinely, I'm not being remotely sarcastic. I know that i myself will be generating my own content soon. I'll still be buying films that look great but i don't think I will be able to buy the releases that aren't super appealing to me simply for the sake of supporting the studio, at least for some time until the models get really cheap.
This took 3 minutes with just a little help from chatgpt.

Blue and/or Director B, did you know that Google drive links embed the video in the post? I've just learned this by accident. Honestly, it's free, not YouTube, and you could have your trailers playing right here in the forum without two ads playing first on rumble, which is also a platform by and for racists, but i digress. The racist thing aside, i wouldn't mind not dealing with ads while i wait to see your ad.

Are you suggesting Blue to upload videos to Google Drive? I would be very careful. Google Drive terms of service do not like certain types of content. It could lead to a ban.

I doubt very seriously they would ever find out to begin with much less care. It's YouTube that has content guidelines. Google drive is a private cloud.

I think Google owns YouTube.

Yes, but YouTube is a public streaming platform that is ad supported. Google drive is your private cloud that nobody can access without your permission and doesn't serve ads. You're not doing anything illegal here, so what you keep in your personal cloud is really your own business that they are extremely unlikely to ever take interest in. I've kept my collection backed up in google drive for years and i haven't heard a peep. It's actuality really nice to be able to free up space while letting heavily enjoyed films breathe and get a little forgotten and i can access them from any device i want whether I'm at home or a hotel room on the other side of the world.

Yeah, this would be an interesting legal case since any punitive action would be an admission that they violated the privacy of the storage agreement!

Yeah, honestly, i think a LOT of normies would have to find us and get mad about their inability to manage fantasy and reality as separate. They do have content guidelines for content that is stored but I'm pretty sure excessive gore and what not is literally referring to actual snuff films. Otherwise, filmmakers in the horror genre simply wouldn't be able to use the platform and i can't imagine Google leaving any amount of money on the table over legal fantasy content with the proactive promotion of Google one they've been running for several years.
They do also prohibit heavy adult content. That said, these trailers don't fit those criteria, have never included nudity, and especially since the graphic stuff is saved for people who actually buy the film, I doubt very seriously that trailers would ever flag the system, and i also doubt that enough other people will ever find us, much less care enough to complain to Google about us.

A different model, this time i generated an image and then used that as a beginning keyframe. This one unfortunately doesn't do sound and the eyes are definitely less natural, though that could be the result of the seed image, however it is much better at pacing whereas i felt the other clip was rushed, and I have had the same experience with every other prompt I've fed Veo3.

It's an interesting discussion, for sure. Personally I do not believe A.I. is quite there, yet. Even I (and I have attrociously bad eyesight) can see the difference between A.I. and real stuff photographed and performed by real people.
However, I concede it is getting better all the time, and soon you won't be able to tell the difference. What happens then I have no idea, I know a lot of producers are already putting a lot of time and effort into developing and testing the A.I. software (our own field included).
Re storing material on Google Drive, nope that is a no-no. Sorry, bad idea. Any place on the net, especially a 'secret' storage place for private files, is just begging to be hacked, and as we have found nothing can be perfectly protected for ever.
I download and keep all of my material, whther in picture form and especially all the stuff I have written over the years, safely off-PC and off-net in secure HD black box drives. Expensive and heavy but guaranteed to survive even a nuclear strike.

I mean, i guess if you live in abject terror of someone hacking your google drive and telling your grandma what you're into, yeah, i could see why it wouldn't appeal to you. I lost my shame several years ago. Anyone trying to hurt my feelings there is just stabbing their own values.
Anyway, i agree that AI is not there yet, but I'm blown away by how close it's gotten because I've been keeping my finger on the pulse and especially with what veo3 just brought to the table, we'll be there soon.
I don't think of these clips as content. They're my first steps in learning how to develop models that do this, though, and i thought what is possible turned out to be really exciting and i wanted to share that with the community. I have to assume I'm not the only one this appeals to. I'm sure some will be more hesitant to get into it than others but i have been excited by cartoons and comic books, so i don't really see how ai generated imagery is any weirder than that.
I am really invested because I've always wanted to create but I've never had the means and i wouldn't want to create content for the broader community so i would never be able to pay the bills. But soon i will be able to create highly customized content for myself and that is really exciting for an artsy autosexual kinkster.

Grok, on X, despite the occasional stumble has become quite compliant with violent and sexual content descriptions in stories. A key element is to make it clear that you are telling a mystery, horror, or espionage story, for instance, and if at some point it balks, edit your last prompt to start with something that reminds it that it's a fictional story. I often will remind it by saying something like, "Continue the scene from my [insert genre here] by describing..." Once in a while it gets lost and assume you are describing an under-aged character, even when the plot clearly involves a spy, cop, or assassin. You just have to remind it that all characters in your story are adults. I like to paste images in first and ask it to describe the person in the image and then assign her a role in the story. You can ask it to create whole scenes including dialogue and ask it to describe a scene from several different perspectives such as from the killer's POV or the victim's POV, with emotional and inner voice content. It really is quite cool and can even be directed to describe it in the form of a screen play for a video!

That's pretty cool. However, elon musk's cimpany can burn to the ground before i will ever patronize it and send him any amount of money. I'll train my own models. I'm also never calling twitter that because musk has no right to resemble the hands down best iteration of Mega Man. If somebody wants to steal and release the code, though.... just um... just saying.
