The Elder Scrolls 4 : Oblivion REMASTERED has been released !

In the same time we are debating and talking about the potential of the video games in the death fetish materials, bethesda Softworks has just released their new game : The Elder Scrolls 4 : Oblivion REMASTERED.





It was a surprise for me as I played this game very long time ago, the old version game was released in 2006, I was very young at that time, I bought it in 2008, in that time I just started to be interested by my sexual fetish feeling and I was starting to buy videos clips from Clips4sale and the japanese GIGA store.

This game was awesome and huge for me, it was the first time that I enjoyed a very realistic RPG with many death fetish elements in it.

If you don't know about the Elder Scrolls serie, the last one was Skyrim released in 2011... One of the best game for the modding and the death fetish elements in it !

Apparently after watching the videos trailer of the game, the new version of Oblivion seems very different than the old version not only about the graphic quality (of course), there are footages in the new version never seen in the old version and also the gameplay seems have a lot changed from the old version !

Anyway I don't expect that the storyline and the quests of the game have changed from the old version as this version is only the "REMASTERED" version of the old Oblivion released in 2006. You will fight the evil-satanic organization of "The Mythic Dawn", those evil members are worshiping the Daedric evil god "Mehrunes Dagon" who want to open the gates of Oblivion to take control of Tamriel world, they kill the Emperor in the beginning of the storyline to steal the "amulet" and you "a random criminal" jailed in the castle will meet the emperor just before his assassination and you will get his amulet... etc...etc....

As you already know it, Oblivion as with Skyrim or Fallout will have a huge potential for the death fetish elements I think without talking about the possibility of the modding... The great quests of The Dark Brotherhood !!!

I will for sure buy this game and I will try it !

Those who like me played this game (the old version), did you remember the "Arena of death fights" in this one ?!

I'm just wondering how they remastered this "activity" in Oblivion... I remind you that the "Arena activity" was removed in Skyrim !

I remember playing the orignal and i downloaded a mod that changed pretty much every npc to female, I downloaded another mod that made the oufits even skimpier and revealing and then after that I downloaded the deadly reflex mod that allowed for decapitations and dismemberments. And if you used certain spells the npc would explode. Hopefully we can get similar mods for the remaster

Just tried the new remastered Oblivion. My first feeling, the game graphic is indeed improved a lot from the first one released in 2006, but still the new "remastered" one keeps many "old elements" from the 2006 game that decrease the enjoyment... As you know about it, in that time (2003-2007) memory was used in very little quantity in video gaming with no procedural generation at all unlike the recent released ones, the "remastered" Oblivion keeps these old "out of date" elements...

1-The map is too small compared to the new recent games.
2- Lack of materials elements in the game.
3- Lack of realistic gameplay.
4- Lack of NPCs and enemies (very important), for example in oblivion you will be randomly ambushed by only 1 or 2 hostile NPCs (average) while in Skyrim you can fight in the same time 5 to 6 hostile NPCs randomly. In oblivion you will feel that the towns are almost empty unlike with RDR2 or even Skyrim.
5- Lack of natural elements, lack of trees, when you are walking in the wood you will not feel that you are really in the forest because of lack of trees and naturals elements etc...
6- Lack of natural - environmental sounds (very important for me), in the recent released games you can turn off the music to hear only the natural sounds of the environments, in that way you will feel a real immersion in to the game like you are really in the reality !!! You can do it with KCD1, RDR2, Cyberpunk 2077, KCD2, Starfield etc... But in the "Remastered" Oblivion, the natural - environmental sounds are very low so it is better to keep the music on, breaking the realistic immersion in to the game. (*But of course, I'm not talking here about the screaming or the natural sounds of a living NPCs, the sounds of fighting, the sounds of talking etc...).

As you see the difference between Oblivion Remastered and KCD2, the towns in the first one are "empty" and the second one seems completely realistic :

their is some censorship or toning down which dont make any sense in oblivion remastered which is unfortunate but the game is still good

Definitly waiting to see what the mod scene is gonna be like before I throw down on the remake, at least not at launch price. Not knocking anyone who did like it, but the way the vanilla game did leveling didn't do it for me and never really enjoyed Oblivion until some of the leveling overhaul mods matured.

And as for mature mods, definitely a stepping stone to Skyrim, characters being kinda rough, but did have one of my all time favorite small graphic mods with the arena poster

I'd play with some of the skimpy arm and big tittied and more attractive female mods, all janky as hell, and look over at the poster and sigh.

But if we get some UE5 baddies in the remake with some nice jiggle physics and armor that was already skimpy before she ordered it two sizes too small, and maybe some of that Deadly Reflex mods, then maybe we talk'n.

There is still not an official photo mode to take correctly and in high graphic the pictures from the game like you can do in Starfield or in Cyberpunk 2077 so I have to use a console command to take low quality screenshots from the game in very bad way.

The game is still chaotic in graphic performance, there are some bugs when using the V-Sync settings, need an update for this. There is not much blood in the game, while I activated the blood option to ON ! Need an update or a mod for this...

At least the game is 100% playable, I have met only one crash in hours of playing, (I play with the quality graphic at 100 %).

The game has been just released with no update since so we have to wait for the upcoming updates and mods that will follow in the coming months...
