Whenever you play video games or in many movie when men are killed you get them bleeding out of their mouth and makes gurggling sounds but you hardly see this when female characters are killed.

People are rightly concerned about Real Life violence against women and so producers have toned down the fictional violence in their products. Sucks for us, but if it does reduce Real Life violence against women, it's worth it.

This is why we can't have nice things -- shitty people running around and actually hurting others.

Does it really stop IRL violence against women?

I don't know. I think it might help, but I have no statistics one way or another.

I think the fantasy world is totally different from the anger that lies at the bottom of real world violence.
The comment about gurgling is an interesting idea for the next shoot I do. I suspect the actor will have to practice a bit to get it right!

I have not really thought about it. I let each actor to their own interpretation of the sounds as long as they fall within the spectrum of sounds I want. Sometimes there has been gurgling among those sounds.
RL Violence happens irregardless of violent media as history shows us. However, that is not to say that some people are not vaguely influenced by external stimuli. An ad for a Double Baconator from Carls may partially influence someone to go and in fact buy one of those cardiac cloggers. But, the reasons for doing so are probably more because of upbringing, brain chemistry, and self-loathing. Ultimately it is the choice of the person to do the thing they do regardless of how stupid it may seem. Though the problem of eating shitty food would likely be reduced by having restrictions in place---perhaps a mental evaluation before they can enter a fast food restaurant and make bad choices. Or maybe the government should stop subsidizing food that gets turn into crap for us to consume. But I digress.
Given that there are billions, nay, trillions of bits of violent media in all formats (comics, books, movies, art), it would be an amazing bit of narcissistic juggling to think that a few thousand bits of fetish specific, very unrealistic and often silly with heavy spatterings of parody, erotic-horror movies have any influences on anything but what tits and ass movies tend to be for---tugging the noodle.

And, I do believe violence was happening BEFORE the internet. Or maybe Jack the Ripper was a time traveler that saw a fetish horror movie. Wait, if I remember, he only time-traveled to sometime in 1980, so I guess we will blame Sean Cunningham.
