Private Collection
I've got a dilemma. Sales have dropped to the point where they don't justify my productions. The most likely and painful explanation is that I'm just not exciting and satisfying the customers. And then there is the fact that there is lots of great new competition. Customers can be, and are, extremely picky about what they buy.
I don't really know what the problem is. But what I do know is that the cost and effort of producing and promoting these clips is way out of proportion to the revenue they generate. Basically, I'm doing them for myself, and a few core customers who buy most of my clips as they are released.
As a result, I've decided that if I continue this work, it should probably be as a Private Collection. I'd produce the same stuff, (actually better because I've learned so much and won't worry as much about the cost of the right support crew). But it won't be available generally.
For those customers who've been continuous buyers of the work, and presumably enjoy the creative mix of bullets, boobs, blood and effects that I'm trying to perfect, and don't demand hard core sex with each clip, I'd love to have your ongoing support in exchange for access to this collection. But for most people, the clips won't be available on the regular clip sites and so, I'll be off their radar screens in the future.
The first production planned for the Private Collection is already one of my favorites... It's called "The Danger of Envy," and it borrows key elements of the death scene I thought was incredibly erotic in "The Danger of Love." The menace of the killer, the slow reactions to bullets penetrating her blouse and plowing deeply into her body...
And it introduces a sexy new addition of "The Film Noir Mood" version of the film along with the normal full-color production.
This film would be the first to be not available on the clip stores, just through Private Collection.
