Question Regarding Elegant Demise Productions

Hello All,
Elegant Demise Productions published its first clip about a week ago and the response to our new offering was substantially less than what we had hoped would be the situation. This leads our production team to ask the question - is there some short coming with our offering? We thought that that the auto erotic content was something different than that being offered by other producers and thus should be of interest to this community. We would greatly appreciate any feedback that you would have to offer as to why our first clip was unsuccessful. Elegant Demise Productions does not want to be a one and done type venture and we would sincerely appreciate any feedback that those of you that enjoy this type of entertainment would be willing to offer. Thank you!

* First scenario - The description of Mya playing a business woman conjured up an entirely different image than what I saw in the screenshots as I scrolled further down your post. I imagined a glamorous, drop-dead gorgeous model wearing a disheveled skirt suit with silk stockings and stiletto heels, pleasuring herself as she asphyxiates on a box tie. What I saw upon scrolling down looks like a $10 hooker you picked up off the street somewhere, wearing nothing but panties and a body full of tats. In other words, your model and her appearance instantly killed any chance of a sale with me. Additionally, I imagine autoasphyx scenes are extremely tricky to film, especially when trying to make the viewer believe whatever character a model is playing is really in peril. That's why I always steer clear of them. A model's safety is too important to make whatever she's choking herself with tight enough for me to suspend my disbelief.
* Second scenario - A cinder block? Really? And she kept her panties on, in a bathtub? I guess you couldn't afford the full monty? :: roll eyes ::
* Final scenario - At least she looks the part she's playing, but I only buy videos featuring successful career women as victims.

Isn't a hooker a "business woman" then?

That's not a business woman.

That's a business woman.
Shoot a video of a woman dressed like that, garroted from behind by a masked serial killer or Hitman, and I'll buy a copy in a heart beat.

That's why I don't produce my own videos. ;)

You're welcome.
I've never been one to bullshit producers with my feedback. If you ever shoot anything that rocks my world, rest assured I will be equally honest with my praise.

Also, there is often a misconception from the outside that you can make a movie for this community and sell hundreds of copies. The reality is far different. The sales are typically in the 10's of units. Don't be surprised if 15-20 copies is your new release surge. That is quite normal. This is a small, small community. There are 1000's of people in this community, but only 100's of fetish movie purchasing customers spread across about 40 producers. In the last 10 years, I have watched about 20-30 producers dip their feet into this community pool, only to think the water was too cold and disappear.
BTW---I was a big fan of MMP productions back in the day. I tried to give them an awesome distribution deal about 6-7 years ago, but it did not happen.
Thanks,
JohnM

Well, since you asked, I for one find carnival tattoos and pierced nipples repulsive, as well as freakily dyed hair and exposed dark hair roots on a blonde. Did I mention, "carnival?" The contemporary "hooker-look" does nothing for me. I thought you said, "Elegant.".......................elsullo

Thanks for providing some prospective regarding this community - now that we have dipped our toes into the water I can confirm that 10's of units is the sales volume that we have seen to date. However, if we can secure future talent I definitely want to take a crack at producing a couple more clips. At the end of the day this whole thing is just a hobby for us but I want to place us in the best position to at least cover our out of pocket costs.

I understand your displeasure with our first model - truth be told I was not that impressed with her appearance either. Our talent agent is beating the bushes trying to find us some better local talent, we are all standing by hoping the agent can do better. Thanks for sharing your thoughts - always appreciated.
