I'm getting closer to the decision on whether or not to launch a films enterprise that caters to those of us who like dressed victims in the main, higher fashion clothes, reasonable nudity, and most important, a fair bit of blood in the outcomes... Basically, shooting, arrowing, and the like... And, as the name of the company suggests, Black Nylons Films, lots of nylon enclosed legs on display...

I shot the first two clips the other day, and am working on the post now, with some substantial delays for the holidays in the offing. I'm excited by the initial work, but frankly, getting into it has a lot of moving parts, the legal structure for the IRS, the accounting, the promotion, and then the maintenance of a store. On the other hand, Blue has made this a heck of a lot more feasible, thanks to his development of Genre Videos, because it eliminates a lot of the secondary merchandising and payment problems. If I go ahead, the work initially will be available exclusively on Genre.

To get some initial reactions, I thought I'd float a trial balloon on the idea now that I've got some snaps from the shoot.

And Jafa, thanks... I agree that Blue is one of the masters. One of the best customs I ever had done was The Treacherous Secretary that Blue did for me a few years ago!

And that's the issue, in a way. There are a lot of great producers out there who have the time to make a lot of excellent films. So the market for any given film is that much smaller. Most people have limited budgets, so the film has to hit one's hot button if they are going to buy it.

You've certainly made one customer here, TG!

If your focus is on dressed ladies (especially in silk/satin button-down blouses), killed by shooting or stabbing, I'll be another customer for sure!!!!

Although I did lots of shoots and edits with my old partner, there are actually a lot of moving parts in setting up a new business and store, and it turns out that getting the right stable of talent and doing the shoots at first without the right assistant is pretty complicated. And I'm not getting any younger, which meant that I was thoroughly exhausted by the end of the first 12-hour day of shooting! But one of the two pieces is really good, and the other one is ok. Doing it on my own was tougher than I thought it would be, but I learned a lot and I'm confident that the productions will only get better!

Some of my favorite clips have come right from your camera and studio! (Gee, do I still love to watch that Coldest Agent Kiki film! Love the "Black Nylons Films" studio name, and I'm excited about your concept for it, Tommy. Fashion is not nearly used enough in our genre, and I'm thrilled whenever I see it utilized as a stylish aspect of erotic death fantasy. Thanks, Grace...! Wish you could be here to help pick out the clothes for the next shoot! I need a woman with the right fashion sense like you... Actually, all kidding aside, the biggest deal will be finding the right places to go for clothes that really add to the mood of the piece, without breaking the bank in the process. Since all these items are only good for one use, it's a bit of a challenge! But, whatever it takes, that's really an important part of this idea, so I'm looking forward to the next shoot.
