Cinemasphyxia.com - Change of Heart Thanks To My Wife

Since announcing my decision to stop updates at year's end, I've found myself frequently browsing the site while reflecting on the last 14 years I've put into building it.
There's a question on its FAQ page that reads, "Why do you feature what you think are bad clips, as well as those clips you think are good?"
The answer reads, "I'm a deeply devoted fantasy asphyxia fetishist, and equally avid video editor. While I have found movies and TV shows that had scenes I didn't feel were worth editing, I generally try and track down what I can."
I just read it again for the first time in years, and was reminded of why I started editing clips in the first place. Simply put I love fantasy asphyxia, and take enormous pleasure in sharing my fetish with you, regardless of the medium.
I've still got hundreds of old MPEGs I haven't upgraded to WMV yet. Thanks to member requests, I've seen absolutely fantastic scenes I would've never known about otherwise. Try as I have, I can't stop feeling like, once the domain expires, I will have given up one of my most beloved hobbies and thrown away what I like to think is one of the community's best resources. And, I've gotta say, the name is so damn cool. I still trip over what a creative play on words it is, and would hate to give it up.
I've talked to my wife a number of times about my decision, and she advised me there's nothing wrong with taking pride in creating my own art while maintaining my clip site. She also said I shouldn't stop updating it just because there's a lot of crap out there I wouldn't touch anyway.
There's a reason why men's wives are often called their better halves. Mine certainly is.
With that in mind, I'm very happy to write that updates will continue indefinitely, until circumstances force me to take it down. To insure I don't go bat shit crazy finding new material to edit, and allow time for my other hobbies, I'm sticking with my new monthly posting schedule unless I see something I can't wait to share.
Thank you for your continued support, and please forgive me for my indecisiveness.
Yours,
Nyghtfall
