Cinemaspyxia.com - April Updates

So. We're four months into the year now, and I've barely written anything except a script for a new custom fetish video I commissioned for $150. Apparently, it doesn't matter how often I update the site, my aspiring career as a writer is going nowhere fast. I'm beginning to wonder if my heart was ever in the right place to begin with. On the bright side, I have a good job with a steady paycheck, superb benefits, and I just got a raise. Even Isaac Asimov worked as a Biochem Professor while writing. Working at a call center for the last 18 years was definitely not my dream job, but it beats the hell out of flipping burgers, and I do love the peace of mind that comes with being able to pay my bills on time. Meanwhile, I'll keep writing for the sheer pleasure of it. If I happen to sell anything, I'll consider the royalty checks a nice bonus.

On that note, I'm switching back to a weekly update schedule, posting clips from one new title each week.

New for April 5 and this week are clips from the following:

Strangling: Carrie (2013)
Strangling: Death in Paradise S2E6: "A Dash of Sunshine"

The following titles have been upgraded to 720 x 480 WMV:

Hanging: The Skeleton Key
Strangling: Along Came a Spider
Strangling: The Gift
Strangling: The Skeleton Key

Now that I'm not stressing myself out over trying to become a full-time writer, I'm enjoying life a lot more again, including my hobbies. ;)

New this week is a clip from the following:

Suffocation: Days of Our Lives - June 17, 2013

Thanx for the update, Nyghtfall. Yeah I know how difficult it is to become a writer
Say - if you ever want to send me some of your stuff or want a 2nd opinion or critical review, PM me.
Now that I am virtually housebound I got loads of free time...

true. Its a hobby to me like lego and it takes time and practice. Finding a fanbase is tricky too. but once you do. you are good.

Agreed, Egeek. There are also an awful lot of knockbacks to take - it's not an easy genre to break into

I recently learned Mark Twain once said, "Write without pay until someone offers to pay." So, that's what I'm going to do. :)

Yeah, good idea - write from the guts/heart Nyghtfall, you will be a lot more honest with what you put onto paper/your PC hard-drive and would-be publishers and editors will get some idea of what you are capable of
