Understanding what? Controlling and arrogant bull crap? I've been offline for a time and found a string of posts deleted. I should not have to point out that few if any models use their real name. They are all stage or professional names. And no one has a patent on their careers simply because they are working with them at the moment. "Mink" has a very successful career as a model in print, internet mags, as well as her own calendar for sale each year. Has it occured to anyone that people would see her on this site and in the clips and want to hire her for more work? I didn't know she existed until seeing her here. And so what if some of her current clients like Wondra's don't like this fetish business? It would not be any different if a model did some big time Hollywood splatter movie or heavier adult work and some of her clients did not approve of that. Can this business pay her as much? I doubt it. She can work anywhere she pleases. Plenty of other models in this business are also known for their very successful work in other fields such as Petra Morgan, Mia McKinley, Megan Jones, Ann Thompson, and Candle Boxx, to name just a few. My favorite UKSG actress in the 'Black Widow DC' only appears to have done that one gig, yet it's a classic IMHO. So what if she moved on? It's her choice.

It's about control, not privacy. If 'Mink' wanted to remain unknown, then she'd perform with a mask on, just like your male actor. What is he protecting - his seat in Parliament? Should my membership here be deleted because one member does not like what I posted? This forum is about sharing things, but perhaps I should not bother. I love 'Mink' and hope to see her career become even bigger.

Okay, call it control, if you wish, but the fact of the matter is that some models/actresses work on fetish productions for the money, but if their work here becomes linked to their mainstream work, it is almost in all cases an impediment to their career. It's not the customers that we are concerned about, it is the companies who will NOT hire Mink for another project, because she has done fetish work. Yes, some models/actresses are able to successfully argue that they did the fetish work when they were just getting started, but left it behind, and they will for sure leave it behind if they get a mainstream role that will make them famous. So, in short, we're certainly not doing Mink a favour by 'exposing' her as a fetish model, and we are doing ourselves a disservice by chasing away another sexy and talented actress from doing our material, because we insist on highlighting this negative aspect of her career. We lost the Wondra actress for this reason after she had only done one video for our community. It's a shame, because we could have had so many more videos shot with this actress, but now... not.

So, that's what we're up against. Keep a low profile, and we'll get beautiful talented actresses for our community's productions. Refuse to do so, and we'd better get used to substandard productions, because that's all that our community will be able to attract, the dynamics being what they are in the film industry.

I'm afraid you still don't quite understand the negative impact that fetish work can have on a real actress' career. Mink would never comment on this board. She is not a fetish actress... she is a 'real' actress. Sorry to be so blunt, but there is a difference. There are those who are satisfied being known as fetish actresses, but if they become known as fetish actresses, they won't be taken seriously by any mainstream casting directors. Suzi and Kerie for example, do fetish work, but they hope against hope that such work will not follow them to their other careers, because it will cost them work. It doesn't really matter if there are loads of people who like fetish content, if they are not the casting directors and producers of mainstream work. Plus, who in the mainstream filming community is really going to admit that they like fetish material? I fear that you are looking at all of this from our community's perspective, while I am looking at it from the 'real' world perspective. So, we don't have to hear from Mink, and won't hear from her, on this subject, but trust me, she's not interested in limiting her career to the fetish film industry. Our community is just lucky that we can still attract mainstream actresses to our fetish productions, since such talent only makes our productions better. Why would we want to screw this up by adverse publicity that will force actresses to turn down our fetish productions? It's totally clear to me why we should respect the fact that an actress/model doesn't want to associate her mainstream actress/model name with her fetish work. Why is that concept so hard for you to accept?

Well if I may expand the point here for a moment, it's a double edged blade for both the actress and other companies involved. The main problem is that everything in the working world is based on impressions and not just what's on paper. The proof is in the information provided and how an employer will perceive you based on what's been given to them by sources. Companies and corporations frown upon these kind of productions not because they think the model may break out into a random strip-tease or some other contrived thought you may be alluding to in your mind but the fact that who they hire represents their own company and interests. In other words the companies image is reflected upon who they hire. This can possibly destroy any the integrity they may have with investors and advertising. This is not a personal attack against the model, at the end of the day the company needs to keep a grip on the bottom line if they wish to stay in business.

As it's been pointed out by Blue, the same applies for the actress's involved. And before someone responds with a wise remark, yes an employer may look into your information via social media or outside sources and may find out about past works with these productions but it's that employer's prerogative to do so. At that point the argument is left to the employer and employee to be handled.

First, If I "endangered" Petra by posting the News pics of her and her husband, I am deeply sorry!
I reposted pics that were in the British press, who in their articles had identified her as a "fetish model" .... I knew about her other modeling "life" but didn't mention it here until I saw the News article ( or was it the Sun)

I had posted in this forum before about a fan of my artwork who had sent me a DVD full of "life imitates art" pics, where she recreated my drawings "in real life".
I was asked, told and warned that I could NOT share even parts of the pics, or there would never be any more. I found out the reason why last month.

In an email, my fan explained she had broken up with the guy who was her photographer in those pics, and it might be awhile before there would be more. Then the revelation - She is a working print and TV commercial model in Germany. She fears now that the "ex" might make the photos public and ruin her career.

In the 80's I did some photography as a free lancer (and those pics I can show if needed). One young woman was working in the Auto Show circuit for a now defunct "conservative" brand. She was hired for several years as a young business woman or "mom" posing next to the SUV or family car. In the off season she did a custom car photo shoot that appeared in a calendar, wearing an "itsy bitsy little black thong bikini" She looked fabulous - but the next year lost her job with the mainstream car company because of it. "she no longer fit the image".

Yes, that is exactly what I was getting at. Not every model/actress wants the wrong type of publicity.

NP, I left the Petra news pics up, but on the hidden forum, because they were published in well known British print publications. Since she is retired from modeling/acting, except for Bluestone Videos, her fetish work will not adversely affect her other career, but obviously it is not something that she would want to negatively impact her husband's career. So, once again, a low profile will best ensure that she continues to work in this field in the future.
