Due to we’re in the e-commerce market for already long time we would like to write our comments.
1) All is fine with our production. The case is only about changing the payment partner processor. We work in casual mode. Yes, of course it is some break in PayPal/Credit Card Sales for about couple of weeks, but soon we will have our new store again. We’re big production with the crew of financial support and we will always have a place for credit cards/PayPal merchants.
2) It’s absolutely normal practice of any online business when stores change online payment processors. You never think how you pay in ebay, amazon, Netflix, Uber and any other online stores and subscriptions. When you click «pay» and money go from your bank card/PayPal you don’t care about how many online financial gates your payment goes through because it’s already care of business and banks. In big businesses you never know about changing the processors, in small businesses like our production, yes, it takes some time to change it. It’s absolutely normal practice. Last time when we went from Gumroad and their payment processor Stripe it was because of Gumroad and their Stripe agreement term of use. This time it’s because of big online store stopped working because of outside reasons and we’re migrating to the new one.
3) «FBI took down a bunch of sites that were allegedly ransomware/malware, mysellix.io among them». Yes! But It doesn’t hurt us and you anyway, the outside payment processor was just closed, it was 10 mln fair small businesses with them and FBI has no attention to us and you. It’s the same if the bank in your region where McDonalds café had bank account was suspected in some crimes. It doesn’t hurt customers who purchased burgers in McDonalds.
4) «Good thing I never use the same password twice. Nevertheless, looks like it's time to replace the debit card for my "fun money"...» It’s right to be careful in online payments wherever! But talking about this case all payments was carefully protected, gone through PayPal and Stripe with all necessary protocols of visa/mastercard protection and no reasons to worry.
