I like the concept, especially in the White Angel series because the heroine believes she will regenerate so her arrogance and sense of invincibility would enable her to indulge the pleasure. A final comment from the villain just as she's about to fade out, that they've developed a way to make sure that she stays dead, would be a nice element!
