Here's a question, what is it about fantasy or fake strangling portrayed in movies that you like? What is so good about the strangling in Hitchcock's "Frenzy" or the scenes in Don't Answer the Phone? Can you define why you gravitate towards these scenes or other scenes in other movies?

Loss of Control, Composure, and also Character Contrast.
‘Frenzy’ takes a self-confident, strong, independent woman
- a woman in control of a situation -
and contrasts this controlled character’s development with a sudden shocking reversal
- a woman losing all control of her situation; denied choosing the composure of her discarded corpse -
It’s one of Hitchcock’s masterpieces!
‘Don’t Answer the Phone’ also does this, but to a lesser extent.
Although sleazy, sweaty and violent - with some nice nudity -
it’s a movie that always leaves me wanting more, especially in the dead body department.
I need to see those strangulated faces.

I'll ask this question again. What is it about fantasy or fake strangling portrayed in movies that you like? What is so good about the strangling in Hitchcock's "Frenzy" or the scenes in Don't Answer the Phone? Can you define why you gravitate towards these scenes or other scenes in other movies?

Wow a beautiful array of strangling scenes from the bluestone studio. I love them all, but gotta really pull for “The Trap” wow Claire Taunted her victim and when she killed her how she sensually rubbed her body. Also a great version where Claire is killed a great 2-4-1 package.
