I have long fantasized about a full X-rated version of one of my favorite films, CLEOPATRA JONES AND THE CASINO OF GOLD.
It would feature the uncensored lesbian scenes between Bianca Javin, the evil blonde "Dragon Lady" and her Oriental slave girls, and the on-screen killing by the Dragon Lady of her "favorite" for the girl's treasonous activities.
We would also see (photo) the Dragon Lady inviting Cleo up to her rooms above the casino for a little "private game" meaning a sweaty interracial lesbian tryst between the two avowed enemies, which turns into the final furious battle to the death, both black and white ladies in the nude.
As in the movie, the heroine takes away the blonde villainess' sword and buries it in her... not in the belly... but between the evil lesbian's legs(!) followed with her fall backwards into her own sunken bath.

I presume your definition of 'mainstream' is limited to studio-driven titles that are oft-found on streaming sites like Amazon and Netflix. Nevertheless, I thought I'd suggest something a little off the beaten path but still produced for mainstream viewers.
Over the last couple years I've found a few death scene gems in 'Halloween' fan films on YT. I have two key favorites but one of them involves a butcher's knife. The other is a couch suffocation that I would love to see Daria's take on. It's from a fan flick called The Shape Stalks and the suffocation is on my clip site.
I'd love to see Daria as a business woman home from a long day at work, still in her skirt, blouse, and sheer pantyhose (barefoot), watching TV or reading something when she's attacked by you playing a home intruder and suffocated the same way. I figure you can film separate shots of her toes pointing and kicking, and splice them in with her reaction shots as she struggles to breath.
Dark red nail polish would be huge bonus.
The only criticism I have about the fan film is the top-down angle on the actress's feet. I'd prefer something like this:

Sounds like an incredible scene and thanks for the visual.
Did you mean ‘stockinged’ foot, which includes pantyhose with shoes off? There are so many sub genres when it comes to sartorial preferences, for instance socked feet are a big thing as is barefooted.
I hate splitting hairs, but I do love pantyhose, so if it comes to a vote I’m in.

The infamous chair strangle in Frenzy without a doubt, with some great closeups on visual expression with cut away shots of Daria’s legs in pantyhose.
Some great post action shots of her body would be great too. Tastefully omitted from the original which left more to the imagination, but why not exploit that now.

We took a shot at this scene first. I'm still editing the clip but here's some screengrabs (sorry for the quality, my connection at work is spotty at best) I'll share the edited clip with everyone soon! If I go dark, it's because we just listed our house for sale and yeah....it's a lot of work haha. Also, thanks to everyone for their suggestions. Daria loves the psycho shower scene and frenzy scene, so we'll probably attempt those next

We started a youtube channel, so be sure to check in for updates or follow/subscribe. I think we'll use this to post our mini mainstream death clips. There's so many rookie mistakes in this, so go easy on us y'all haha. Let the critique begin!
We have a few other videos in the works too. Already I see improvements with a little practice.

Mistakes aside, it just replaced that Halloween fan film as one of my favorite Hand-Over-Mouth suffocations, especially after running it through my own editor. I can't thank you enough for nailing the camera angle on her feet. Watching her point and then relax her toes during the last few seconds of her struggle was icing on the cake.
You also did an excellent a job replicating the fan film's audio mix to make Daria's muffled gasps sound more like background noise against the ominously atmospheric music. It's a terrific detail I was not expecting.
I hesitate to point out my only nitpick because I'm so thankful they aren't socks, but since I believe meaningful feedback must include areas of opportunity, I don't like the look of reinforced toes on pantyhose, which is why I wrote "sheer" in my request. Thankfully, Daria's performance and the overall production quality was enough to make me look past that.
I was expecting to buy a copy from your Gumroad page and would've been quite happy to do so.

I'm not a foot guy, but damn that was a pretty sweet video! The actress did a fairly decent job in her acting. I particularly liked her muffled whines and squeals of panic. The only thing I would suggest is maybe have her frantic/panic energy amped up a bit. I think most people would thrash around a bit more on the couch in an attempt to break away from the killer's grip. It would require the killer to appear to be pressing down on her with a bit more force to make it look like her head is cemented in place while her body wriggles and squirms and writhes in panic mode. Otherwise, it is a very effective piece!
I'm hoping someday there will be a hint of topless nudity! ;) I'm a boob guy! :)
