Question...

One of the things I love about garrote killings is that they are more obviously painful. The cut of the wire as opposed to the softness of a scarf. It lets the make-up aspects of the strangling come to the forefront. It better justifies the agonized expressions.

But does everyone feel that way? What is it about strangulations with hands or a necktie, which is "softer" in its way, so satisfying? What is it about STRANGULATIONS period full stop that makes them exciting?

I'm not an expert, but I'm about to shoot one and want to make it good. Thanks!

It's women's facial expressions of horror, panic and disbelief - rather than pain - that turn me on;
strangulation is one of the best ways of achieving those.
I also love it when the woman dies suddenly, freezing one or more of these expressions in place.
- This may not be how it happens in real life but it sure looks sexy on-screen. -

Tights, ties and those garrottes with handles would be my 3 favourite choices.

A faint red line is sufficient make-up for my suspension of disbelief;
when an actress nails the performance, graphically realistic bruising is inconsequential.

I love the pain, the harder the better. So a thin wire cutting into her throat -- but plastic wrapped, like a phone cord or earbuds, so there's little to no blood -- starting and stopping to prolong the pain... that pushes my buttons.

Why snuff and/or rape in fantasy push my buttons when I'm completely opposed to both in Real Life, I have no clue.

Garrotte is not my type but this scene got me. People who like garrotte are very lucky. They get good mainstream scenes and most of fetish producers focuses on garrotte-stranglings.

I have to agree with you. They are two factors that make an excellent garrote scene 1) the pain and suffering and actress has on her face like this and 2) there's is nothing sexier then a long stretched neck with a cord wrapped tight around
