Mainstream Clips or Fetish Clips?

There are points to be said for both. Hollywood big budgets allow for famous actresses, cool effects, great scenery, etc., whereas fetish clips provide longer more detailed death scenes. Which do you view and collect mostly for your private collection? Why do you enjoy one type of material over the other? Is cost a factor, since mainstream is generally free, whereas fetish material has to be purchased.

Hitchcock's work, for example, is still awesome over 50 years later. Can fetish clips ever equal the great masters?

Before discovering this community I used to spend no end of time (and money!) trawling through loads of films on DVD and tape trying to find interesting bits. With very few exceptions, even when I did, they were bowdlerised or censored so that the exact bit which I wanted had been cut. Now I know that if I buy a fetish clip it will deliver what I want (usually) so it actually saves me loadsa money! Goes for me as a shooting fan with specific target area, I ought to add. Other fetishes might have more luck in mainstream; but for me there is no contest.

I love mainstream movies, as some might have noticed from my
ongoing series of weekly "Free Nights at the Movies" posts in the
All Topics Forum, and I agree with Blue regarding the greatness
of Hitchcock. However this has little or nothing to do with my female
death fetish. Therefore I also agree with Smudger, and add my
experiences exactly mirrored his. So when it comes to this fetish
it's "underground" video clips or nothing.

I definitely voted for the fetish death clips, although I do see a lot of mainstream movies. I can appreciate a movie that is definitely not just made for the death fetish crowd.

However, those mainstream movies which do cater somewhat to our taste is often lacking in key elements. Often the female death scene is too violent ( the poor girl is smashed to smitereens) ,or simply too quick, if shown at all.

In the death fetish video's you at least get to see more of the kill, and the girls are usually dressed in somewhat sexy outfits. It is true some of the girls lack acting ability, but some have developed quite nicely just by experience. I believe that the cost of these videos (not so much in making them) is a pretty good deal.

I spent many years searching mainstream movies for my fetish and had very little luck, since punctures delivered to even a secondary erogenous zone are apparently verboten. Specialty material has finally rectified this injustice, although even here I frequently find the depiction of bullseyes to be somewhat perfunctory. Sad truth is, the most satisfactory scenes I've ever seen have been in my customs, which unfortunately run into big bucks. It ain't easy being green...

Like a lot of guys I knew in the start of the video tape age, I had a clip tape, 2 hrs of bits and pieces from Karin Dor's watery demise in Blofield's pond in You Only Live Twice, to the opening scene murder in Don't Answer the Phone, to a couple of the quickie "kills' in the opening of the Police Squad comedy series. I too culled almost every video in the video stores looking for a section to copy. Like others here they were mostly quick, sanitized or way too dark to see. When I discovered role playing, we had our own, live action scenes available when ever we wanted. We took pictures, and made videos, and all was good...until an ex boyfriend blackmailed my main "playmate" into leaving me, and destroying the evidence.
I role played with the Lady I should have married, but then lost in a car accident...
Well there were magazines that had ads for custom tapes ( places like AES started out that way) that if you looked hard enough you could get one made for a couple hundred bucks. And back then, it was yours! some of these early guys didn't sell the tape to anyone else (like UKSG) ...then along came the internet !

Now, with the click of a mouse (and a full check book) you can get something that approaches your idea of the perfect crime.. as long as they can sell to to anyone else who comes along. Yes you can get exactly what you want, if you pay for it, you can find people who will fill your order, as long as it's legal.

I still have what's left of my original clip tape, altho it has deteriorated to the point it is no longer watchable.... Now, I have a clip hard drive!

I voted for mainstream clips although I have a number of clips from our producers. Since I'm not prepared to raise my profile and commission clips I prefer to take suitable stills and make them part of a story I then write. I mostly use the clips of both kinds for ideas and expressions and the like and I'm starting to use Poser as well.

In addition I have trained the Boss to kill and ravish me and have an EBay dressing up box (rather different from the one I had when I was seven!) to add to the ambiance. To be honest nothing compares with that!

When I was young I had some dressing up clothes - things no longer wanted by my mother and odds of ends I added. Now that EBay allows me to indulge at low cost my dressing up box has slinky catsuits, low cut minidresses, black patent high heel shoes, wigs, and other silly nothings for the delectation of the male of ther species and to help me get into role.

I picked mainstream clips. I'm afraid it has too do with story guys. I don't even have much interest in straight porn if it doesn't have a story. And damn few does.

Actually UKSG and bluestone, as well as some of the Amazon sites do a better job at story than a lot of the other producers. Now, admittedly I buy vids for the death scene. But its nice when the producers try to put a little backstory in to see where things are coming from. I particularly like that in "interogation gone bad." If the actors treat the material as if they believe in it. Then it all starts to come together.

Mainstream or fetish? There are many differences. In mainstream, the emphasis is on the killing. In fetish, the emphasis is or the dieing. In mainstream, the actresses are usually fully dressed. In fetish, they are mostly naked, nude, or undressed. In mainstream, the acting is usually very good. In fetish, quite often, the acting isn't. In mainstream, usually there is much less blood. In fetish, the blood can flow by the gallon. In mainstream, wounds tend to be more casual. In fetish, the wounds can look very convincing. In mainstream, the actresses can look in their thirties, in fetish they can look in their teens. In mainstream, the dialogue can be ow, in fetish it can be "You bastard. I can't believe you shot me in the center of my navel." In mainstream, deaths look very real. In fetish, the look very reel. Until Hollywood really learns from our fetish producers, how to kill a lovely actress, I will continue to prefer our producers over theirs.
