Hey, G, Blue, Grim and all my long time friends . . . .

It's good to be here. Glad you didn't have to fold up your tent after all our years together, G.

Thanks again for your help and prompt responses to my queries as always. And it's good to be part of your corner of our world again as well, Blue.

I'll try to contribute as much as I can as time allows and be an active part of this community.

And the site is -- as always -- well done, with excellent choices and production.

Good to be here . . . heck, at my age, good to be anywhere!

Best of luck to ALL.

As ever,
Fen

Hi Fenton,
Good to see you joined and you are always welcomed here.
I got a question, can you tell us a bit about the death scene in:
The Story of Dr. Wassell
I see I can get a copy for about $18.00, that's why I am asking you .
I would like to know if it is worth buying?

Thanks, Grim --

It's an old movie, but the woman takes machine-gun fire (from a strafing jet) directly in the stomach. She dies slowly, struggling to see to the child's safety.

If you wish, e-mail me at fenton_at_newsguy-dot-com, and we'll see what we can do to give you more detail.

As ever,
Fen

ooooops -- the description:

The Story of Dr. Wassell (1944)

Dr. Corydon M. Wassell (Gary Cooper) is determined to escape from Java aboard the cruiser Marblehead when the Japanese invade the East Indies during WWII. When the ship is strafed by machinegun fire from some aircraft, the mother (Edith Barrett?) of a little English boy is caught in the barrage while trying to save her son.
