In Memorium: Frank Frazetta!

Post by Bluestone »

Frank Frazetta, one of the greatest artists of our time has died. He was an incredible inspiration to me personally and to numerous modern artists of our genre. His work on Creepy and Eerie captured erotic images and fired the imagination of our genre!

Most people know of his incredible covers for the Conan the Barbarian paperbacks, but my favourite tale is from Creepy #16 where a man strangles a topless jungle girl to death. The cover is by Frazetta; although, the interior art is by another great, Neal Adams.
Here is the cover image from that issue:

A great talent has departed this world, but he left a very rich legacy behind!

What is your main fetish?: My personal fetish is 'bellybutts', the idea of a woman who for her own pleasure, to sate her own lust and fetish, wants to be stabbed or shot in her belly, ideally during sex. She begs for it incessantly, encourages it to happen and then when the moment finally comes, enjoys it thoroughly and begs for more.
Why do you want to join this forum?: My interest in this community has less to do with my personal fetish than it does professionally from a community building standpoint.
Referral: I have no recollection. I've been around pretty much since it's inception.

Frank Frazetta was my favorite artist of all time. I have other favorites in particular genres, but Frazetta was in a class by himself. His art, and especially his cover illustrations set the mold for my own imagination. Hundreds of novels were read by myself, the visuals defined by him.

The world without Frazetta seems very wrong. I mourn his passing.
