Family Tragedy

Some one I care very much for and have been taking care of like a daughter got hit by a truck last night and is in very critical condition right now. So I will be out of the loop for a while. Didn't want any one to think I just disappeared. But I got to take care of this girl and stay with her in the hospital and care of her when she gets out. She has become the daughter I never had. I did get to see her for a minute this morning and the nurse was amazed at how much she responded to my voice. It was encouraging but we have a long way to do for her to be better. Your prayers will be appreciated.

Very sorry to hear that, Mr Knifeinhand. Please take as much time off as you need to be with your foster daughter.
And yes, our prayers will be with you both for her speedy and safe recovery.

Thank you guys. She was able to talk today. She grabbed my hand and told me how happy she was to be alive and that I was there with her. She's pretty badly banged up but seemed a little better than this morning. The nurse said she didn't respond to any one until I came in and talked to her and her eyes opened up and she tried to talk. That was at 7 am this morning. By 5pm today she could talk a little. I think you for the prayers though because it will be a hard road to get back to normal. She probably won't be 100 percent even then. This is such a reminder to be very careful on the roads. I know it's changed my driving habits.

THanks for the update, Knifeinhand. It's good to know she is responding to you. And yes, the roads are very dangerous, whatever country you live in. Whether a driver, cyclist or pedestrian, you need to take a great deal of care.

She is getting progressively better though she has a long way to go. But it seems I'm no longer needed for her care so I will be back to posting some new older clips and soon some brand new stuff.

You may not be needed, but you may be wanted. Real Life always takes precedence over the fun stuff! Take your tie to be with her as much as you can.

Stopped home for a minute to do a few things. She perked up a lot more today. One procedure has me worried but the fact they keep delaying it is actually good. They are thinking it might resolve itself. Crossing my fingers. I know I don't have to say it but she still has a long road but today was encouraging. We actually watched a movie together. She hadn't felt like doing that until today.
