Cinemasphyxia.com Updates

PLEASE NOTE: Last month, I discontinued regular updates, as I can no longer guarantee regular access to new content. As such, I've created this thread to serve as a single reference for all future updates.

---
The author behind the WordPress theme I’ve used since last August kept making changes to it that I didn't like, so I found a better one. I love the new one so much that I bought the Premium version, giving me access to all of its plugins. Frankly, I think the site looks gorgeous in white, and a helluva lot classier.

Two weeks ago, I upgraded to Windows 10 Pro, and am completely in love. I’ve also successfully tested my video capture and editing software with it.

I recently edited six new clips from three different titles. Here’s one of them:

Suffocation: Sense8 S01E06: "Demons" (Visitor Request)

Work on my new 3D art site is not going well - I'm spoiled by deviantART's ease of use - so I’m thinking of expanding the purpose of Cinemasphyxia to showcase my art for people who don't have a deviantART account and would rather not sign up for one.

New to the site is a clip from the following:

Strangling: Criminal Minds S10E17: "Breath Play"

Since discontinuing regular updates, I’ve noticed that, as time goes on without any, I start getting feedback asking when I’m going to post another update. I’ve asked myself the same question. I will always be at the mercy of what’s available and what I can get my hands on, but I also don’t want to risk having the site become stagnant and you lose interest in it. So, I’m returning to a weekly posting schedule, and will do what I can to maintain a one title per week average. Rather than create a new thread each month, I'll continue using this one for site news. I’ve got clips from one new title ready to post next weekend, they’re just waiting for write-ups. Unfortunately, next weekend’s update may be the last for a few weeks.

Fraps, my recording software, inexplicably broke the other day. For reasons I’ve been unable to identify or solve, it no longer records more than about a minute and a half of footage before corrupting the AVI it creates. Thankfully, I found an alternative solution called Bandicam, but it costs $40 to register, and I’m on a tight budget.

Well thank you for the honest up date of your situation, Matthew, and also posting another clip for us asphyxiado fans.

A couple days ago, I tried browsing the site on my cell phone – an HTC One M8 – and noticed the Video Library and Categories side bar menus aren’t visible until you scroll all the way down to the bottom of any page. Tonight, I remedied that by learning how to add them to the main menu, and am very happy to write that the site is now mobile friendly. :)

Thanks to a new plugin, the main menu now slides down from the top for desktop and mobile users, so you can easily navigate the site without having to scroll back to the top of any page.

Windows 10 broke my recording software. That was the only conclusion I could reach, last night, after performing a number of failed tests with Fraps.

I love Windows 10, but I love editing videos even more, so I went back to Windows 7 and, sure enough, problem solved. I could not be happier, or more relieved. :)

Last August, I shared a clip I found on a message board from an episode of a new BBC TV series. I didn’t add it to the database at the time because I couldn’t find an NTSC-compatible version of the episode to edit my own clip from. I’m very happy to write that I finally edited my own copy.

New this week is a clip from the following:

Hanging: Honorable Woman, The S01E08: “The Paring Knife”

I’ve been busy with my 3D art and thought I’d post at least one more clip update for the month ends.

New this week are clips from the following:

Hanging: Law & Order: Special Victims Unit S04E01: "Chameleon"

The following titles have been upgraded to 720 HD WMV:

Hanging: American Psycho II: All American Girl
Strangling: Leeches
Suffocation: Rain Killer, The

My personal 3D art site is a bust. The more I thought about it, the less sense it made to maintain a separate site just for my art. Cinemasphyxia has a long, well-established place in the fantasy death fetish community, so I’m expanding its purpose to compliment my DeviantArt page.

Thanks, Nyghtfall.
Were you ever able to track down that excellent pillow suffocation I told you about in the penultimate episode of 'Under the Dome'?

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!

16 years ago this weekend, I launched my clip site. Back then, it was called Out of the Shadows, and hosted by my first ISP. A few months later, I renamed it Matt’s Clips. On November 15, 2000, I registered Cinemasphyxia.com, set up an account with Dreamhost.com, and the rest is history. :)

To celebrate, I am very happy to post one of the best car stranglings I’ve ever seen. New this week is a clip from the following:

Strangling: Slashening, The
